True. Though at least there was some pick up 1st EpThis show is so fucking slow!!!!
I'll hang in for a few more episodes cause I dig the plot.
Just too much character development and the dialouge drones on and on.
OK....Just watched the last 3 episodes and got caught up.
This show is a banger!! Glad I hung in there and gave it a chance past the first 2 episodes.
Tom Pelphrey is killing this role. He was incredible in "Ozark" too!
I really enjoy this show. One more episode
When dude asked about the marriage bed ...
Bro I couldn’t sleep last night and I knew it was mentioned on here so I watched the first 3 episodes last night. Was up to 5am lol@DC_Dude
How many episodes along in Task are you?
Also - not sure if you've seen Mare of Easttown, but it's worth checking out as well. Well earned awards for that 2021 show. Both shows have some filming in and around Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
The series received critical acclaim for its story, characters, acting, and representation of women. It has also been noted for its cast members speaking in a mostly accurate Philadelphia accent, a dialect seldom heard in mainstream media. Mare of Easttown received sixteen nominations at the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards and won four, including Outstanding Lead Actress for Winslet, Outstanding Supporting Actress for Nicholson, and Outstanding Supporting Actor for Peters.

I’ll definitely check out Mare. Thanks
Nice.
Yeah - you're gonna dig episodes 5 and 6. Easily 2 of the best of the season. The pacing of the first 15 minutes of episode 6 is excellent.
Mare of Easttown was a really pleasant surprise in 2021. Great role for Winslet.
If you have a chance (after watching more Task episodes) ... check out these Inside the Episode featurettes. They're a nice assist, and easy to get through at only 6 - 8 minutes each.
Side note ... I was familiar with Ingelsby's writing previously for the movies American Woman and Out of the Furnace. Shoutout to @joneblaze for recommending American Woman years back in the MOVIE thread. My fave acting performance from Sienna Miller. See trailer below.

The bonus of watching this terrific show is watching the lovely Salli Richardson talk about it afterwards
