Nah I don't think he's hating, he just wasn't blown away by the album and that's his right. I have a friend who listened to it 3 times and he also wasn't blown away.

What I respected is that he gave his honest opinion after listening to it 3 times without outside input. Meaning he didn't look at or read any reviews on social media.

And I did the same because I had to early and I also didn't listen to or read any reviews of the album. And I liked it.





Aside from that they're talking about. I went through all of the Clipse albums, and although I like songs on the other albums better because they're classics.

This latest album is probably the best full Clipse album. Meaning, each of their other albums had 3-4 songs that were how should I say...

Since they said it I'll say "Mid". Or songs that are always skipped. I don't wanna call'em wack, we'll just say songs that weren't as good as the others on the album.

And that's on every album, at least in my opinion. But this latest album might have 1-2 skips depending on if you want to hear that beat\song at the time.

Now the "We Got It For Cheap" mixtapes, them shits were fire and classics top to bottom!

Clipse album is so well made that it’s almost hard to take the opinion of someone saying it’s “mid”.

Music subjective. I agree. But the quality of this music ain’t mid. You can say it’s not for you or you don’t like it but nothing is mid about it.

When you say something is “mid” and how you back that claim up is “everyone says things is classic these days..”…their whole basis isn’t that it’s mid music it’s that well everyone likes it and it’s “Clipsmas” so we gonna be the ones to humble them.

But usually this is targeted to something black.

If we were going on a grading system I'd give it a B+ or 4 out of 5 mics

That would be going from a 5 to 2.5 as if there isn't anything between that.

If they think Euphoria and not like us is a 5 for example that doesn't mean the Clipse can't be a 4 or even 3.5.

I understand some of what Bomani is saying but this argument does reak of contrarianism.

As far as Mero I honestly think he's just going along with what Bomani is saying.

Mid means average, or in most instances it's describing something as below average. If you ask someone about a restaurant and they say it's mid, you're probably not gonna wanna go there.

Regarding GNX, they don't have to like it. But they should give it the respect that it deserves. The rhymes were dope, the music was dope and it was well put together project.

Whether you liked the album or not it's not mid.

Its HILARIOUS that you say that because as a day one I can tell you MUSIC WAS HIS SPECIFIC THING.

If he could have focused on just writing and perfecting that. He would have been potentially a high level music critic of all genres.

I can listen to Shaboozey and rate it on its own terms. Its not my preferred music but I get it and understand why its popular. Same with Taylor Swift and Travis Scott and Drake and Doechii and Glo-rilla.
