Disappointed (but not surprised) by the spiralling of the rhetoric from introspective to regressive.
There are always deeper issues we should discuss as a community, and as a people and as a race—but this kind of language doesn’t solve anything. Using terms like 'tether' , 'shackle parasites,' 'mud hut orphans,' or 'greencard goblins' doesn’t just attack individuals; it attacks entire groups of people, fueling negativity and alienation.
This kind of name-calling plays right into the same tactics used to divide us historically. Whether consciously or not, it mirrors the same systems you claim to push back against. Why would we turn on each other when we know the value of unity?
It’s bigger than the internet. In the streets, in our communities, and in the spaces we occupy, words matter. When we let toxic language like this slide, we lose an opportunity to lead by example. The energy you're channeling into insults could be redirected into building bridges or addressing the real root causes of tension—whether that's communication gaps, cultural misunderstandings, or societal pressures.
If we pride ourselves on being a community of intellect, sharp wit, and realness, let's rise above petty insults.
