The Knicks have $45,496,089 committed in salaries for the 2011/2012 season. Chauncey has a team option of 14,200,000 that will be picked up, Brewer has a $4,966,356 qualifying offer which will be picked up.i love how espn is saying we don't have cap room in 2012 yet our gm is saying yeah we do... unless espn has seen our books and know our plans i find their shit hilarious.
I know this.
what's fucked up this was done for a week.
Proky sat on it to basically screw with the Knicks and Melo.
I was flabbergasted as why the Nets chased after a player who didn't want to be there and offer 4 first round picks.
TO ALL U NYETS FANS DERON WILLIAMS IS NOT STAYING AFTER THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!!!
![]()
WojYahooNBA: No doubt, Nets will have plenty of selling to do. RT @tribjazz: Jazz's Williams is not happy with trade. [via Twitter]
Nets tryna cockblock w/ this move...guess Knicks may be stuck w/ Paul and that flaky knee if Deron stay in Jersey
How in the hell did DWill get on the Market and we knew nothing of it Cuban???!!!!
Dammitt!!!
Cuban was the same way...shit never materialized into marquee signings. The best players we've had (since he bought the team), we got through trades. A great owner doesn't translate to getting great FAs.
cosign..dude is just mad they got played on the Melo deal...lol....they overpaid for a player that was begging to play for them and said he wouldnt sign an extension with anyone else.... the knicks had ALL the leverage..
hmmm
damn, players is running out of the west.
Deron Williams is livid about the trade and has reportedly refused to board a plane bound for New Jersey. Sadly, he will have to accept his fate - trade is finalized.
the knicks should play a game with the nets in the offseason when williams becomes eligible to sign his extension... knicks should call the spurs, t-wolves, indy and leak news of a rumored megadeal that would land the knicks tony parker, tim duncan and kevin love and the knicks would trade amar'e as part of the deal...then the nets being the nets would call those teams and try to make a 4 team trade of their own for those very same players and this time have the spurs request deron williams and the nets say yes...then after 2 weeks the knicks, pacers, spurs, t-wolves all come out with a joint statement saying "sike!" by then the media gets a leak that the nets offered williams and he gets so pissed he decides not to resign... lolol it would serve them right...donnie has enough friends in the league to pull it off too
you are posting shit that is six hours old
Did you post when Billy King said 2 hours ago that Deron was excited and was upset and worried about his wife who was pregnant traveling and his daughters leaving.
As Deron assistant said on twitter. Deron is upset with Utah and how they never told him anything.
Nice try though
The Nyets hijacked that ninja! And no he didn't want to go to that team.

And that was announced contemporaneously to Billy King being on WFAN proclaiming that Deron was "excited" to be there.
Great move by the Nyets, but be real, you had to kidnap the nigga and he's not happy. He'll warm up to it though.
The Nyets still suck ass.
This move is superior to the Knicks getting Melo. Your 2 most important positions in the NBA is Point Guard and Center. The other 3 positions are interchangeable. Teams in the league tried to make the PG position interchangeable when the Iverson era began, notice none of those shoot first PGs won a championship. The Nets got arguably the BEST Point Guard in the game. The Knicks got the second best small forward who can't play defense on a college player. The Nets are sitting real pretty this off season. They are easily in contention for the 8th seed next year. Now since they have cap room they can sign Zack Randolph and Jamal Crawford on the off season for mid size NBA contracts. Utah on the other hand made out well because they will be getting a high draft pick and they have tradable young talent Milsap and Favors.
Now the BIG LOSERS of all of this is the KNICKS. The Knicks, if they knew any better, could have got Deron Williams in a trade this season (which the Jazz would have really entertain a trade with the Knicks Felton) and sign Melo on the off season without giving up Landry Fields and their center.
At the end of the day the Russian won.

So this is funny. The Nets get the best point guard and they still suck ass. Marbury goes to the Knicks and people say the garden is back.
This is just one step.
As I said before this is Jason KIdd all over again.
I'm trying to understand why knick fans even care. U got melo the player u wanted.
Sure The Russian up his asking price but had it been the other way around people would be saying how dolan is a genius.
In the end. Dolan is pissed that he had to do a move he didn't agree with.
U guys got melo be happy
I'm happy the Nets got the best PG for two players and two picks and nets still have 5 picks left
Nah Champ, don't even bother. We got our guy, it's over we move forward. Let them bite at our ankles.
Just have to ensure that we get Paul or D12.

yeah he feels the nets got him to upstage the knicks lol he's is pissed....ahahahaha...the nets heard reports he wants to be a knick so they got him 1st ahahahahahaha....they didn't research how he'd feel being a net if they had they'd find he didn't want to be a net....ahahahahahahahaha...
seriously the knicks need to get the nets like google exposed bing...just humiliate them and expose them
