That situation didn't need a gun, it was a man on man fist fight level.
The only pettinest to top this is to have the house demoilshed as soon as possible and leave that shit an empty lot. Fuck you and your whole existence, nigga.
In this situation dude was a piece if shit and had every intention of shooting dude no matter what.
But in normal everyday situations nobody has the right to put their hands on someone else and no one is obligated to fight someone just because someone else wants a fair one.
In a situation like that which isn't premeditated I wouldn't really fault someone for shooting anyone that is trying to harm them physically.
Plus I personally know of too many situations where a "fair one" resulted in serious brain trauma and even death in a couple of instances.

Dude didn't even try to fight just immediately went for his gun, him having that gun is what have him the courage to even be out there. If he didn't have that gun he probably would have been arguing while standing in his house yelling out the window

Never let women in disputes get you caught up. Now this was obviously something that had been brewing for a while. And ended up coming to a tragic end. I watched a series called Neighbors That Killed. That documented real stories like this. You would be surprised at some of the petty shit people would end up being killed over.
1. A black man ended up being killed by his senior citizen white neighbor. All started because the mailman put the mail in the wrong box. So black dude was kind of enough to walk over and return it personally. White dude swore up and down the black dude intentionally messed with the mail and it led to all kinds of bullshit.
2. Not having control of your kids and animals is another way to get caught up. Seen several shows that have lead to bloodshed because of it. Some times the neighbors are being petty and other times they are justified in being upset. Main thing is when ego's won't let cooler minds prevail.

This sounds like bullshit. In Florida, "the lender is required to send a notice of default to the borrower, setting out the reasons for the default and informing them of their right to cure the default within a specified period, typically 30 days."
You have to be 120 days past due before they can start to foreclose. After that, you have to go to court.

Look like self defense to me. He was acosted by an irate neighbor on his property. Neighbor tried to inflict bodily harm on him an he feared for his life.
I would have never been in his position in the first place. Since you ask I would have came out with my gun in hand visible as fair warning that yes, me, my property and home are well worth defending. Don't bring that bullshit over here unless you bulletproof.

Yeah I don't think doing somehting like this is possible.This is some bullshit... You have to be several months late, usually, before they can foreclose on you. Also, once that mortgage is sold, the Mortgage Servicing Company (or the bank who holds the mortgage) has to let you know that your mortgage has been sold.
The "Truth In Lending" laws will tear these people's asses up if they tried that shit.
