Need serious help fam

I got the virus from hell Monday. It got in my internet explorer files and locked shit down!! The funny thing is I don't use Internet explorer. Anyway Im looking for the BEST protection . I loved Kapensky, but is there anything better?? Let a brother know what you use and why you like it!!

I know alot of katz on BGOL gonna disagree with me on this one but I have been using Nortons anti-virus for the past 3 years and it works wonders protecting my PC and laptop. As long as you run the updates when you are alerted to, then your protection will always be up to date and safe.

But hey, that's just my experience and opinion and as I said before some will disagree. All i've got to say is that if Nortons is as bad as some people say then why is it still one of the top virus protection around.

I feel ya. I use to roll with Norton, but I got tired of updating. That's when I had my first computer( an E-machines) and It was good. I got this dam Dell and it comes with Trend Micro PC-cillin and that shit sucks!! It told me I had a virus and i went to quarantine and it wouldn't get rid of it. It basically crippled the computer. Had to reboot all my shit. Im going to look into that Norton 2008!! Do you use there firewall or your own??

Yep, head over to Avast. Go to www.avast.com and download their antivirus program. It's free, the updates are free and works like a charm. Then, run your ass over to www.comodo.com and get their free firewall. It's free, updates are free and nothing can get in or out without you knowing about it. While you are there, they have a program for Malware.

Yep, you need it. Can't beat the price...Free.

And if you don't have anything to protect your email, they got a kick ass program for that too.

They have anti-virus but because I have not used it, I can't recommend it but this other stuff I've mentioned, I'll put my rep on the line for it.

i think they all been posted here recently. that nod 32 is the shit to end all shits and it auto updates by checking in with the main server every hour. been using that for the last two years and never looked back. it's fast and easy on system resources.

I got norton on this computer now. It's a trial though. It look's good, but I dont wanna get use to it then have to change the program.
