Need Help: Designing a T-shirt for my daughter's Sickle Cell Walk in September

Good Morning Fam,

Since my brand new beautiful baby girl was diagnosed with Sickle Cell Disease a few weeks ago I have been making my mission to be active and getting the word out about it.

*special shout out to the bgol fam for being so supportive!

Next month is Sickle Cell Month.

I'm getting family and friends together to be active in different events.

I WILL calling on the bgol fam too :D

I actually need some bgol arts collective to help me design a logo

I need to turn the Avengers logo A

(I am very disappointed there is not ONE definitive color and style awareness ribbon available, but I definitely gonna get on that.)

and if any of the bgol business group know where I can purchase about 20 affordable t shirts to print up?

(and perhaps in the future set up a site to sell them?)

Holla at Fiverr.com it's a lot of good logo designers there for cheap if you can't find what you want here. Also, Upwork and 99Designs if you're willing to pay more money but you get a lot more choices

There is some promising research going on for sickle cell ..

One were they can use the patients own body to cure itself

Had a good interview on Karen hunter last week..

If I can find it on demand I'll rip it and post it for you...

Correction, I just looked it up, looks like they moved a block away. On N and Utica now it seems. Just call and get pricing. But I used to do majority of tee's for Labor Day with them. Known them for many years.

I'm still trying to figure it out.

The superhero theme is very personal to me and my family and this is going to be our very first time involved with ANY outside organization.

I'm gonna name the team something incorporating my daughter's name.

And wanted to add some sort of more specific representation for Sickle cell disease on the shirt.

I'm going to use school, church, social media, work etc to blow this thing up just as a test.

One of the things I want to try to do is not only raise more awareness #1 but get more unity between member organizations

There should be one singular voice.

YOU IMMEDIATELY think cancer.

I want the same...

I'll post the different ribbons later.

I'm trying not to be critical of these organizations cause they do VERY important work and I'm a neophyte.

They been people fighting for decades.

Who am I to criticize after a few days?

But so far?

I'm not seeing the machine in place...

It's not from lack of effort

It's a lack of money and support.

and I'm dedicating myself to changing that.

Especially with my bgol network, I feel like we could REALLY do a ice bucket challenge level event and get this thing moving.

Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated.

Like I said early.

This is my VERY first time working with this or any sickle cell organization. So I wanna do some research but I'm on a short time table.

With September being national awareness month.

I'm linking up small and local...gonna show them the power of bgol.

Hell...I might have bgol legal show me steps to start my OWN not for profit by next year and try to lead by example!!!

But for now I'm going to link up with existing hard working passionate folk and learn the ropes.

so I was just directing donations to my local Sickle Cell organizations

but anything more

I have to be DAMN sure the money is going to the right place.
