I'm in the process of writing a business and marketing plan for an upscale barbershop in New Orleans. Does anybody have one or both software request to help me out. Also, what is the best barbershop you've been to?

Not my link, from another msg board...

thanks, I needed this software as well. NoBarber38, good luck with your endeavor. What area of N.O are you going to set up shop at?

good luck, bra

Just make sure you pick a good location. I live in Gentilly. I think there is a somewhat upscale barbershop on gentilly near the liberty bank. No sure. I cut my own hair and just pass by it. It looks nice from the street. Just make sure you tap into the crowds at Dillard if you are going to setup shop in gentilly and Xavier if you are going to setup shop in mid-city.

If you live in Gentilly and you've passed the barbershop on Gentilly by Liberty Bank, there marketing plan didn't do anything to get you in the place to get ANY services. I've been there and I'm not impressed. I've been a Tonsorial artist for over 15yrs and a license Massage Therapist for 5yrs. What do they need to do to get your business? P.S I just want to know

Its not much they can do to get my business. I have been cutting my own hair for 13 years. For one the location is bad. No parking for their customers. To start they should have some sort of gimmick to get the guys in the door. Maybe have some college girls pass out flyers for them around town. Throw happy hour parties/game watching parties. Anything to drive up foot traffic.

For one, I didnt see any type of marketing material for them. I don't know what type of services they offer. Could have someone hand out flyers/coupons at Chicken in the box/McKenzie's.There is a lot of foot traffic right there. Pass out flyers at the nearby banks.

You just have to get the word out about your business. Let everyone you know what you are doing. Then they can tell people for you. If you have a client base from your other endeavors, tell them. Offer them your services or to their partners.
