It was a Typo bitch. Hell more than Scottie would. My poin was Scottie was not as good as he was made out to be.
anybody saying scott pippin is overrated just starting following basketball.
I agree.
I have to admit, I am utterly shocked at the number of people who listed Scottie Pippen as the most overrated. .

Man you guys who think pips is overrated need to blazing that cattle manure in your spliffs
Furthermore lets take away those figures, have you seriously watched those six bulls championships and see what pips did. They always sent Pips on the toughest defensive assignments.
I'm a Pistons fan so I cant really like Pippen... but I'm surprised too...Pippen was always overshadowed because he played with Mike... but in his prime.. Pippen was a top 5 player in the league...he could do everything on the court..on both ends... the only thing he lacked sometimes was toughness...
Bullshit that muthafucka refused to go back in the game because the play was designed to go to Kukoc. Take his ass off the list.
you niggas are nuts calling pippen overrated. he had to play with michael jordan who took most of the shots, and still was a beast. the bulls would've never won any titles without scottie. he made 1st defensive team mad times, etc... you young niggas don't know shit.
Pippen was a bitch and couldn't handle being the star when Jordan retired the first time. But don't get it twisted he was second in the MVP voting and beyond that he was the greatest defender ever. He defended bigs and guards, he was great on the ball and was a great help defender. And he played the point most of the time while Jordan and whatever other shooter (Hodges, Armstrong, Kerr, Paxon) set up to shoot. He was a great great player but his attitude sucked.

Cosign all of this !! Pippen was a Beast !! He guarded the best player (from pg to pf) every night. The Bulls would have lost to the Lakers without Scottie for the first Ring. Magic was abusing Jordan (and every other bull guard) in the post in game 1. Then Phil put Scottie on Magic and the Laker offense got shut down (resulting in 4 straight for the Bulls and their first ring). All of this while basically being the point forward for the squad...
1) Kobe never refused to go in the game and play. Shows no fucking heart.
2) Take Jordan away from Pippen and you saw what type a player he was, just a sidekick. Take Shaq away from Kobe and he's still one of the best to play the game.
3) Domonique Wilkins carried the Hawks almost single handily. He deserved that spot before Pippen.
It was the top 50 players of all-time, not the top sidekick list.

Yeah, I'm officially done with this whole argument. So many people have provided more than enough proof of Pippens baller status, yet people come in here, talk sh*t and don't back it up with any facts. We even had some dude come in here and point out the one incident where Pippen refused to go back into the game. I'm not saying he was right for that, but c'mon. Anyway, everyone is entitled to their opinion. For me, Scottie most definitely deserves to be on the list and he will be a HOFer one day.
What people seem to conveniently be forgetting, especially those talking about rings, is that it was NEVER Jordan who was guarding the other team's toughest offensive threat. Scottie Pippen ALWAYS drew that assignment. You're absolutely right. Pippen made the Laker offense grind to a halt once Phil made the move. Pippen frustrated Stockton and Gary Payton when they met in the Finals. He totally took Mark Jackson out of the Eastern Conference Finals when they played the Pacers. He gave the Knicks fits on defense. Even when Oakley was trying to rough him up (which he did), Pippen still played well.

Go die somewhere Blunt.
Pippen made Larry Bird who was the coach of the Pacers complain to the NBA about his defensive work in that conference finals. Mind you it was all clean but Bird had to try sumthin
He harassed Mark Jackson like that dude owed hom money.

What are you talking about? The year when Jordan retired Scottie carried the bulls. He was second in the MVP balloting to the Dream. I coached Kobe and I know him. I wonder what he would do if in a playoff game Phil Jackson drew up a play for Buachich or however you spell it for the game winner? Like Phil did for Kukoc when Scottie was clearly the leader of the team. He would be damn mad too, especiall after waiting your turn patiently while Jordan got props for 8 years for making every big shot. He reacted like a bitch and that's what he was but he was still a great player.
As for Dominique I think that Bernard King belongs on the list before him. Dominique struggled to score in the half court set for most of his career. When he got a jumper and a floor game where he could dribble and get his own shot his athleticism was waning. Not every great dunker was a great player.
Over - Bill Walton
Under - Joe Dumars
under rated: Kobe (should be named the greatest of all time), Kevin Johnson
over rated: Shaq, Adrian Dantley, Larry Johnson, Anfernee Hardaway
Ugliest...Terry Porter, Tyrone Hill (close second)
All I have to say to all you who listed Scottie as the most overrated is WHATEVER! He's one of the greatest defenders to ever play the game and could score when needed. I understand he was a shell of himself in the Houston uniform, but he did have some decent years in Portland.
Overrated: Scottie Pippen

Overated: Scottie Pippen aka the Memphis bleek of the bulls
He wasn't shit without his homeboy Mike
I guess when he led the Bulls in scoring, rebounding, and assists while on their way to 50 wins and an All-Star MVP during Michael Jordan's layoff doesn't count as baller status, huh?

I watched in the early 90's. He good but nowhere good as people said he was. When Mike left the first time he couldn't carry the load.
You should be banned

Scottie Pippen missed the first 30 or so games during the second year of the second three-peat and the Bulls were barely a .500 team. When he came back, the reeled off a double-digit winning streak immediately on their way to winning the second championship during the second three-peat.
correct. the lemmings always repeat whatever they heard on sportscenter. it NEVER should've been "jordan and pippen" identified as the dynamic duo. it should have been "jordan and coach jackson".
standing ovation.
please see big philly's reply.
did houston or portland advance farther after adding scottie pippen? coach jackson MADE scottie pippen.
see above.
that's a little overboard. still a solid player, but the system made him look better than he was.
coach jackson's system can make players look better than they are. more accurately, it can hide/disguise a lot of flaws.
i think that's a little overboard, but mostly fair.
at least banned from this type of thread.
it would still be bullshit no matter how many times you repeat it.
scottie pippen may have lead the bulls in scoring, steals, and assists, but not rebounding. please.
standing ovation for this man!
damn. i never thought i'd see this occur in nature.
in my ENTIRE life, i've never met a fan of ANY team other than the fakers who repeatedly made shit up about a player to try and fake his/her way through a point.
in the 2nd year of the 2nd 3-peat, scottie pippen played AND started in all 82 games.
