Overated:
Anyone who had to play when dunking was disallowed or frowned upon. Anyone who had pound for pound couldn't match up in the same positions today. Its like saying the run-orientated 70's Steelers or 60's Packers could hold a match to anyone today or the 80 and 90's Niners or Cowboys. Put today's grizzlies up against some of those early Celtic champions with the current rules. It would be a tougher game than u think.

All I have to say to all you who listed Scottie as the most overrated is WHATEVER! He's one of the greatest defenders to ever play the game and could score when needed. I understand he was a shell of himself in the Houston uniform, but he did have some decent years in Portland.

you niggas are nuts calling pippen overrated. he had to play with michael jordan who took most of the shots, and still was a beast. the bulls would've never won any titles without scottie. he made 1st defensive team mad times, etc... you young niggas don't know shit.

Cosign

Underated: Joe Dumars he played the game the right way.

Overated: Scottie Pippen aka the Memphis bleek of the bulls

He wasn't shit without his homeboy Mike

Thank you, sir. You said what I was trying to say way better than I did. Good post.

I guess when he led the Bulls in scoring, rebounding, and assists while on their way to 50 wins and an All-Star MVP during Michael Jordan's layoff doesn't count as baller status, huh?:hmm:

I simply think that one person made the suggestion and the rest of you are following. I say to the OP or anyone else who has the time, please post the complete list because I really don't think cats on here are thinking about everyone on the list.

That's who I'd replace Pippen with...

Pippen was a bitch and couldn't handle being the star when Jordan retired the first time. But don't get it twisted he was second in the MVP voting and beyond that he was the greatest defender ever. He defended bigs and guards, he was great on the ball and was a great help defender. And he played the point most of the time while Jordan and whatever other shooter (Hodges, Armstrong, Kerr, Paxon) set up to shoot. He was a great great player but his attitude sucked.

I watched in the early 90's. He good but nowhere good as people said he was. When Mike left the first time he couldn't carry the load.

you can't be fucking serious? if anything AD is way underrated..

I'll repeat what I already posted:

Were it not for that bullshit call they gave Hubert Davis at the end of Game 5 in the Semis (or maybe the Conference Finals), the Bulls would have been the team to play Houston in the Finals.

NO. HE DIDN'T WHEN A RING WHEN MIKE LEFT. IF HE CAN BALL LIKE YOU SAID HE CAN, HE WOULD HAVE WON A RING WITHOUT MIKE.

First, I don't know if anyone every "when" a ring. Secondly, how many rings did Michael win without Scottie? I'd like to see you argue that, especially when Michael himself conceded to it.

underated: Moses Malone, Bobby Jones, Maurice Cheeks, Andrew Toney

overrated: Antoine Walker, Glen "Big Bitch" Robinson
