Maralee Nichols issued a statement responding to the DNA test results that proved Tristan Thompson fathered her 1-month-old baby boy.
“There was never any doubt that Tristan Thompson was the father of Maralee Nichols’ baby,” the former personal trainer’s publicist said in an exclusive statement to Page Six on Tuesday.
“Tristan made numerous false and defamatory statements and declarations about Maralee over the past few months, and she is taking his contrite statement today in the context of all of those statements.”
The Sacramento Kings player publicly admitted the child was his in a lengthy statement posted to his Instagram Story on Monday and included an apology to ex-girlfriend Khloé Kardashian for cheating on her … again.
“Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols,” Thompson, 30, wrote. “I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established I look forward to amicably raising our son.”
He continued, “I sincerely apologize to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both privately and publicly.”
Seeing as Thompson allegedly asked Nichols to get an abortion, accused her of trying to “gain” fame and even threatened her over child support in legal documents as part of her paternity lawsuit, it’s clear why she isn’t necessarily buying what he is publicly selling.
Kardashian, meanwhile, has yet to react to the news, though her ex-husband, Lamar Odom, offered her his support.

A couple of months after he stated he didn't get a personal trainer pregnant, the 2016 NBA champion revealed he is the father of Maralee Nichols' baby, stating he's ready to be present for the kid and have a friendly relationship with the mom.
Even after he apologized to Khloe Kardashian, Thompson received plenty of criticism, which hasn't stopped. That's why Odom took his chance to blast the player and attacked him for doing Khloe wrong. Odom and Kardashian were married for seven years, and the former Los Angeles Lakers player still cares about his ex-wife, even if that makes Thompson mad.
In a conversation with TMZ Sports, Odom called Thompson 'corny' for his actions.
"I haven't been fortunate enough to reach out to her [Khloe]," Odom explained. "It's too bad, but she's gonna be alright. She's a strong girl.
"[If I could say anything to her], First, I would give her a huge. I haven't seen her in a long time. Just to be strong. Keep your faith from God and be strong for your daughter."
Then, when asked what he would say to Tristan, Lamar didn't hold anything back.
"My dude is corny for that, but it's all good."
Odom also talked about his chances to be back with Khloe, but he just stated he wants to be closer to the woman to start.
"Just to be around her would be a blessing," the 2x NBA champion said before claiming he wouldn't go to Los Angeles to try to make a move on Khloe.
