NBA Season is Returning This Year!!!!!!!

Well pop is in a league of his on. So I dont compare anyone to him. Kerr system is good to great with the right players. To me Oubre and Wiggins should be coming off the bench. If they were GS would be a lot better. They dont have anyone to replace Wiggins right now. And yes Kerr should be running more pick and rolls; he should have did that with Steph and KD also; shit is maddening...

Kerr was supposed to be a good coach and teacher, because he came from up under both Pop and Phil.

I think you can have Oubre or Wiggins, their GM did a terrible job by getting both

I'm confused how he didn't know that Wiseman was essentially a straight to high school player. Did they actually watch his workouts? His stock was high because of his potential and not his actual production. I saw the kid in high school and I didn't feel he dominated for his size. People have been wondering about his motor for years.

Where as Lamelo has been playing on a higher level and with more pressure for five years.

And if you're going to have Steph run to death and not initiate offense it made more sense to draft Lamelo and have Steph continue to play off ball IMO :dunno:

and I think we also saw the system along with the players was also the case with Luke. Luke looked good with that system and those players.

I think that was also Mark's issue, he wasn't playing modern basketball with THOSE players and it was to their detriment.

Wiseman was the right pick
Kerr coached him incorrectly.
Wiseman impacts and helps the defense tremendously
He is an athletic freak
The problem is Kerr decided he wanted wiseman to do the shit that makes no sense.
If he had adjusted any of the system it would have been EASY to get up to speed.
The few times they ran pnr with wiseman he rim runs and gets the lobs cleans up the boards and everything else.
But Kerr didn't want that he wanted him to fit into this shit that makes no sense.

This is what Wiseman was doing when he first got into the games in the beginning before Kerr started fucking with him and trying to get him to fit into the system that's outdated.

In a league where the 2 mvp candidates are 7ft tall it is and remains absolutely the right play now bigs like jokic and embid are a luxury and impact the game in a major way. Wiseman is 7-1 and can do THAT plus shoot 3s
but Kerr only wanted him to post up...in an offense that isn't a post up offense

It's just a complete mismanagement and one that would have me telling kerr look either change or LEAVE cause the system hasn't changed in 5 years and that's why teams know exactly what to do and how to play it
and the minute we don't run it we score a shitload of points but right after changing it he goes right back to it as if it never happened because he's a typical stubborn dude who would rather do his thing than what's right.

I disagree with that. Oubre is a victim of the system. He's no a spot up shooter and shouldn't be Oubre is here for his defense and at certain spots we were a top 5 team defense and even now a good defense
it's using them both to the best of their abilities
let oubre and wiggins slash with steph running the show there are no offensive problems

The Knicks thought they had won the game and not tied it

and Bledsoe is your go to player? Are you serious Stan?

Damn is that dental floss or his arm?

That is some Stan school of coaching. Steph cover up a lot of Kerr dumb shit.

The Nets lost this game cuase of Kyrie....Those last two times that The Nets had the ball they shouldn't have went for the Three and just went for the Two!!..Kyrie was tryin to play hero ball and messing it up!!..

Also on Nash. You gotta call a play when they tied the game. Kyrie went iso over and over again resorting in no points and you run the same thing after a timeout. Senseless

Always has and this is why I put him in the top tier and say don't mention him with anybody else
literally, every other superstar is put in a position to have the ball in their hands THE MOST and to maximize everything they do.
That isn't the case for Steph and he STILL does what he does.

Case in point

Now you'll say well we need to monitor this or that but NOPE we don't.
Remember 3 weeks ago I said he's a fucking dunce because he refuses to put Steph in before 6 minutes for no other reason than his own stubborn coaching which causes them to lose games?
well he's been putting him in based on time and score now and nothing has happened to Steph other than tons of wins lol

the argument has been oh well Steph is in a perfect system that allows him to be great
when the ACTUAL facts are he is doing all of this in a system that DOESN'T maximize his potential. If you think having Steph run through and set tons of screens is less taxing on him than having the ball in his hands and running the simple pick and rolls then you don't know basketball and yet this is what Steve believes for no reason other than he feels this way so this is how it's going to be.

Remember KD has been hurt the last 4 years. He was hurt every year with GS before he tore his Achilles. His body just might be breaking down :smh::smh:

achilles tendon tears are really difficult to recover from...even when it heals, you start to unnaturally shift weight to other parts of the body to protect it...causing injuries in other parts of your lower body. The worst decision he ever made was coming back in that NBA finals.

His system is great when you have iggy Livingston KD Klay Green Steph Bogut Barnes David and others working it; because those are great players. But when you don't have great players and consistently refuse to change shit is mostly terrible....

He had major injuries before the Achilles though. He almost broke his ankle 1st year with GS, 2nd fracture rib, 3rd year injured calf and ankle; these are all before achilles. And lets not forget the major injuries he had in OKC. Hes old and has alot of miles on his body; and injuries bring down the best athletes the older they get. Coming back in the finals might have played a role but his body been going thru shit....

Dam. Those thigh injuries are a bitch. I hope its minor.

Kyrie gonna Kyrie. And Nash know that is he "allowed" to coach these guys. They dont really have to listen to him. And coaching Kyrie is like walking a nonstop tightrope in trying not to overstep boundaries and coddle his weird ass feelings.
Yep...only flaw in his game. Coach also needs to let someone else run point at the end of the game...
I need to watch more Pelicans games. Im a Stan Van fan but i hear alot of guys trash his coaching. I do agree Zion being used as primary point guard may not be the best use of his skillset tho.
