NBA Season is Returning This Year!!!!!!!

The guys that said he would get traded said that they couldn't talk about it yet.

One thing they did point out is that his rookie year he was up early and in the gym with Jimmy everyday and Jimmy was always bigging him up. Jimmy doesnt really talk about him anymore so maybe they had a falling out.
Maybe he's spending too much time with :

I understand

But the problem is Jimmy, Don Riley, AD and Spo don't play that sh*t

Drugs and partying and not showing up for workouts is what i heard. Supposedly has a house full of hanger ons living it up on his dime too.

Yo white boy herro gonna learn fast

And that's just foolish as a new father

Surprised cause the South Beach Mob used to regulate all that very well.

I really think Arison messed up not having Wade in the ownership group.

You defend KD and Kyrie to the end of the world up here. And neither would piss on you if you were on fire, you ain't white or Jewish.

Scottie Pippen is not a reporter. He's a 6x champ and was asked his opinion on KD. He gave it. KD then lashes out on social media and deflects to a situation Scottie played thru almost 30 years ago instead of directly addressing the critique. And to compound it KD is coming off a lackluster OT performance in a Game 7? But he talkin shit like he just won something. Bitch shit. And that's "protecting your name?" KD is lucky LeBron was born, if he was the face of the league he would've quit by now instead of dealing with the scrutiny that comes with that. KD is a self hating coon which is why he IDs with Kobe and MJ so much and don't speak up for shit in the Black community but will loudly try to check journalists who acknowledge he's a 1 dimensional isolation scorer. Just another shut up and dribble nigga that wants to be loved by rich white people. I'm not babying 32 year old mamas boys mad that they lost. :smh:

I don't even know how to respond to the delusion. You got it fam

No he doesn’t.
Of course not. But the nigga sounds stupid. Laettner was flat out a better collegian than Shaq and Alonzo. And the US has sent an all black team to the Olympics before.. Twice i believe. Love doesnt belong because his play and professionalism have been shit level. Jalen needs to concentrate that in his reasoning and have a better factual presentation if hes gonna discuss from a racial aspect.

I hear you

Bill Simmons and Jackie McMullen were killing the decision too.

Sidebar

They talked about how the Celtics were too white, the comments Ainge made about race... so that is interesting.

I can see the racial component Jalen is on though...

Especially that team that loss the gold

OK I finally listened to the recent Bill Simmons podcast with Jackie McMullen in full uninterrupted

Where they talk Kevin Durant

@largebillsonlyplease brother to hear these 2 white people I gotta once again say you were right

Hold on just to get this out there

They are professionals veterans of the media Bill damn near invented a form of sports writing as a woman Jackie is a pioneer bestseller millions of words written on the sport documentaries worked for ESPN blogs podcasts etc etc

And I know Bill interviewed KD numerous times

But the bullsh*t psychological breakdown of that young black man...which I've heard before mind you but this was ESPECIALLY invasive

I'll give Bill a pass briefly

If this woman is LYING about ever speaking to KD directly one on one she should be excommunicated.

Look WE do it all the time on here

But we not serious we not professionals we not getting paid not getting aggregated

We don't have a RESPONSIBILITY to be honest fair fact based etc...

They do.

And it was messed up.

And then it's like white 101 they ended with a bunch of compliments and lebron criticism

Which by the way were way off...

Lebron was going to change his number for the movie months ago

It had NOTHING to do with shading KD WTF?

Yeah, she is biased and pro Boston. I could tell when she used to talk about Kyrie and she was really bitter he leveled up.

and Lebron was going to give AD 23 when he first got there, but they had all those 23's already in production.

and I can't stand Simmons, because of his Boston bias. He was gloating for years like Boston winning was only a matter of time.

Every players goal is to win championships for whatever team, I highly doubt KD gave a number.

He should get fired for this shit

This is embarrassing

It's one thing not to know KC Jones, but the first in Bill Russell, and Doc was obvious

fuckin dookie. :smh:

I do NOT understand wtf is going on lately with the sports media

I don;t know if they trying to hard

afraid for their jobs

getting pressured from management to do social media shenanigans and give hot take bullsh*t

or they just poorly trained and really not qualified for this sort of exposure and responsibility.

this was just DUMB period end of story

I actually used to thin Jackie was a good one.

Cause she KNOWS her history

and she gave off the mother vibe which I thought was missing form these discussions but then...

she been exposing herself

and Bill too (moreso)

What REALLY irks me?

If you put just ONE reasonable BLACK voice in there?

The ALL CHANGE THEIR TUNE.

So then it undermines EVERYTHING about them

Cause if you NOT gonna STAND on it in FRONT of a player? In front of another Black person in your field?

I do NOT respect you.

did you get to listen to the actual podcast?

You're an analyst and have a morning show....much less playing basketball

and you didn't hear Bill Russell was getting into the hall as a coach?

Bro...

i CANNOT defend it

close to fire his ass offense.

actually to be honest that whole KMZ sh*t has been an embarrassment

we ALL gonna just IGNORE Rick Carlisle SNAKING the lead assistant coach (Luka PICK) who was SUPPOSED to get the head coaching job in Dallas?

Kidd was ultimately uncomfortable with the idea of pursuing the opening after Blazers star Damian Lillard publicly called for his hiring within hours of Stotts' departure on Friday night. The public nature of Lillard's endorsement -- telling Yahoo Sports that "Jason Kidd is the guy I want" -- left Kidd feeling he would put both Lillard and Portland's process in an awkward circumstance should he pursue the opening.

J KIDD must be lurking...

He officially withdrew from the Trailblazers coaching search

Did Rick Carlisle intentionally sabotage Mavs, Luka Doncic with Jason Kidd endorsement?

Former Dallas Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle might have sabotaged Luka Doncic by endorsing Jason Kidd over assistant Jamahl Mosley.

The Mavs are nearing an agreement with Kidd to become their new head coach after Carlisle publicly endorsed him on Thursday. Tim MacMahon of ESPN opined Carlisle made the comments because he might have been threatened by Doncic’s relationship with his Mosley:

“Screw it, I’m going to stop being delicate. I think it got to a point where Rick perceived Jamahl Mosley’s close relationship with Luka Doncic as a threat to him,” MacMahon said, via RealGM. “I don’t think those guys will necessarily send each other Christmas cards. And look, who’s right? Who’s wrong? Whatever. I do know this: players I’ve talked to… Luka’s not the only guy on that team who is extremely close to Jamahl Mosley. [He’s] developed great relationships with players throughout his career.”
Things have been moving very quickly in Dallas.
The first sign of trouble came when a report surfaced regarding former executive Haralabos Voulgaris’ influence within the Mavs organization. Longtime general manager Donnie Nelson stepped down, followed by Carlisle.

Now, Carlisle said he learned “many things” from Doncic and suggested Kidd in part because he thought the former Mavs point guard could impart his wisdom on Luka. Still, it’s no secret Carlisle and Doncic had a bit of a strained relationship, nor was it an unknown that Doncic has a real affinity for Mosley.
What’s interesting is MacMahon’s note that Mosley has close relationships with numerous other players on the Mavs roster. One has to wonder whether Carlisle was aware of Mosley’s standing and whether personal feelings got in the way.

Rick Carlisle endorses reported frontrunner Jason Kidd for Mavericks head coaching job

Rick Carlisle may be back in Indianapolis, but he’s made his pick to replace him in Dallas.
Carlisle told ESPN on Thursday, shortly after he agreed to return to lead the Indiana Pacers on a four-year deal, that he thinks Mavericks owner Mark Cuban should hire Jason Kidd as the team’s next head coach.
"My hope is that Jason Kidd will be the next coach of the Mavs because he and Luka have so many things in common as players," Carlisle said, via ESPN. "I just think that it would be a great situation for Luka [Doncic], and I think it would be an amazing situation for Jason. I'm the only person on the planet that's coached both of those guys and that knows about all of their special qualities as basketball players. To me, that just would be a great marriage, but that's just an opinion."
Cuban, apparently, is on the same page. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Mavericks are close to hiring a new general manager and Kidd is "a strong frontrunner" to replace Carlisle. Kidd also has reportedly had the support of Dallas legend Dirk Nowitzki and others in the team's front office.

Jason Kidd’s history in Dallas
Though it’s a bit strange for a coach to advocate publicly for his replacement after taking a job elsewhere in the league, Carlisle’s pick makes sense for a number of reasons.
Kidd played for the Mavericks twice in his nearly two-decade career in the league. Dallas selected him with the No. 2 overall pick in 1994, and the Hall of Famer spent his first two seasons there before he was traded to Phoenix. Kidd then returned to Dallas during the 2007-08 season and helped the Mavericks win a title in 2011.
Kidd has experience coaching in the league, too. He spent a season with the Brooklyn Nets and then four seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks before landing in Los Angeles to serve as an assistant with the Lakers, where he’s been the past two years.
His name frequently comes up with open jobs in the league, and Damian Lillard even publicly told Yahoo Sports that “Kidd is the guy I want” to replace Terry Stotts in Portland earlier this month. Kidd, though, removed himself from consideration for that job.
Given his history both in Dallas and as a head coach, it’s hard to argue that Kidd would be a bad choice to lead the Mavericks. And if Carlisle is right that he’d be a great fit with star Luka Doncic, Kidd landing there makes even more sense.
There are other options, though — including top assistant Jamahl Mosley, who Doncic knows would be great in their top job.
“Yeah, he can be a head coach, for sure,” Doncic said of Mosley this season, via the Dallas Morning News. “I work with him a lot. He’s got the things needed for a head coach.”
Stotts could be a good fit, too, as he previously served in Dallas as an assistant during their title run, as would Becky Hammon — who has seemingly been poised to make the jump to head coach for years now.
The Dallas Morning News’ Callie Caplan also suggested that Cuban go after current Real Madrid coach Pablo Laso. With Doncic’s history in Madrid — he led them to a EuroLeague title in 2018 before he was drafted in the NBA — and the Mavericks’ strong international roots, Laso could be a surprising yet perfect fit.
Either way, Cuban has said that he wants to hire a new general manager before figuring out who the team’s next head coach will be.
So for now, any talk about Carlise’s replacement in Dallas is just speculation.

I assumed Carlisle wanted Mosley on his staff.

You don't think Kobe had 6 or 7 championships in mind to pass or equal MJ? You don't think LeBron wants at least a fifth to tie Kobe?

I think a lot of great players have a number in mind. But three is absurdly low for KD, unless he has embraced the Stugotz rule that his Warriors titles don't count.
