Carter will actually have his jersey retired by two different franchises this season, as the Brooklyn Nets plan to hang his No. 15 jersey in the rafters on Jan. 25 following a game with the Miami Heat. Toronto purposely chose a November game in order to get ahead of the Nets, per TSN. Another date that was reportedly considered was Oct. 25 against the 76ers with Kyle Lowry in attendance.

This cac sounds like a idiot. Vince not only put that franchise on the map he birthed an entire nation of Canadian ballers that are now littered throughout the entire NBA. His impact on Canadian basketball is immeasurable. He deserves a fucking statue.
 
I live in a football city, we didn't have a franchise when Vince came on the scene and Vince made me take notice of the Toronto Raptors. Before Vince, I only heard about the Raptors from hardcore basketball heads who were talking about Damon Stoudamire.

2 things can be true

He quit on his fucking team right as a future hof got to his team.

His actions caused Bosh to leave and go to Miami and win championships and plenty of finals births

Had Carter stayed they coulda had a dynasty across the border.

With that said, his jersey should be on the Canadian flag when we take it over as the 52nd state.
