[NBA Contraction] Considering The Talent Available....

whoaa....
New Orleans can and does support its team...
Ownership was fucked up...
We had Cp3, David West and Tyson Chandler and the Birdman on the same team along with Butler, Pargo and some other folk then went to the playoffs beat the Magic lost to the Spurs...

ownership traded Tyson Chandler for Okafor kept peja and his big ass contract but had darren collison and marcus thorton...

but they got rid of darren collison and thorton to make cp3 happy who left soon after!!!
and fired B.Scott

weak ownership took the hornets from a second round playoff team to bums...

then he sold the team

Famo it should be 10 teams with the number 1 Seeds gettin a bye in playoffs

Make first round 3 game series

2nd round 5 game series

Then con finals and finals 7 games

Lakers Spurs Mavs rockets and thunder in west

Bulls Miami Knicks nets celtics in east

All tr rest of the cities should be d league squads

Each team has 13 players

Good idea

Well that is true what the other guy said about athleticism has gone up but skills set have dropped so much.

I think the league had the best years of sills and athleticism was the 90's. Hell early 90's and 96, and 97 were the best years (to my recollection) I saw basketball and i don't even watch it.

Hornets had a squad and fucked it all up

Thats why CP3 left

You let all his guys go and expect him to stay? :smh:

Places like Baltimore, St. Louis, Seattle, Las Vegas and Anaheim should replace cities like NO, Milwaukee, Sacramento with NBA teams. Ultimately, the NBA need to take charge in American player development by using the soccer model.

a more telling issue is that the nba commish needs to do a better job of decicing who becomes an owner and further down who these owners let become staff in the front office

they let what appears to be a cheapskate become a memphis owner but wouldnt let larry ellison become one

Considering how big Stern seem/ed to be on expansion, supply exceeded demand, and that's why we ended up with so many crappy owners.

...and I thought about this a little more last night...

...there is no way Luke Walton should've ever been scouted, let along drafted. That's how you know there are too many teams. Motherfuckers are just looking for players to throw away a second round draft pick on.

Sure, some second rounders have been big surprises...

...but Luke sure as hell wasn't.

Dude is so big of a scrub, until a part of me believes I could beat him 1 on 1.

You guys are on crack.

Why would you want to see LESS basketball????

Next season already seems way too far away for me.

Its better now.

Theres a D-League.

But again, look at a team like Sacramento.

Is it a lack of talent that is keeping them from being competitive?

True

Like I said earlier every team in the nba has had players come throught their ranks that they could build on.

Fewer teams wont stop owners like Donald Sterling and Michael Jordan and GMs like Khan,Dumars and Colangelo from existing

start getting rid of owners. make it you can own a team for 6 years, only 2 times, and there has to be a 2 owner difference between owning the teaams.

Why do u think he lasted this long?

The GM who picked oden over Durant was gone within a year

Dumars is sterns bitch

He told him to trade Chauncey too

I agree they should find out the intentions of the new owners before they just come and buy teams

What's going on in Memphis is shameful

Shit has nothing to do with players. Its all about who owns a team. The clippers were shitty for multiple years in a major market because Sterling made profit off visiting teams. NBA should have a rule that a owner has to get his team to playoffs ever 6 years or the NBA buys the team from them at half market value and finds new owners.

It really has nothing to do with dropping teams...it has more to do with bs contracts/money and celeb lifestyles.

The NBA as a whole has given too many young players with low basketball iq's too much money and blessed them with too many "Baller lifestyles". We can talk about how theyre families need to eat.....how this is a ticket for them to get out of a fucked up situation etc...but sooner or later youre gonna have to address how all of this is effecting the NBA.

The NBA, fans and those in the media have given a lot of high school & college kids the impression that all you need to know how to do is be "athletic" with you dunks..and BOOM! Million dollar contract and your ugly face on TV everyday. You dont need to play defense, team basketball, shoot the ball...none of that...just score easy buckets via dunks and lay ups and youre in. My Point? stop making it easy for niggas to be bums then maybe theyll develop their craft a little more; like they used to do in the old days.

If you think about it....you have a few of your young guys that in it for the money, fame, ego boost etc...but theyre still improving their games and fighting for a title. For the most part your 7-8+ year vets are really keeping the league afloat. Once a lot of them lose a few steps or retire..the league is gonna be SUPER WACK. Just think about it.

its too many owners that's not trying to win

you wanna invest some money buy some stocks and bonds nigga

get the fuck out the NBA

One leads to the other. Bum ass owners who care nothing about winning often take these underdeveloped players trying to create buzz & find someone to market to their fans. Not enough owners care about winning a O'Brien. They want free arenas & the profits that come with them.

I've always thought cities with 2-3 (at minimum NFL team) of the 4 major sports should have an NBA squad. If they replaced AAU & turned prep schools to true basketball academies...they begin moving to the European model. Problem is, as you know...the soccer model requires parental buy in at a very young age. Americans aren't trying to hand their kids over to development programs like that, although it would help get the desired results.

If I was a fan of a team that had no interest in winning a championship I would pick a new team real talk
