Another option could be to make a "Movie Trailer" for the book using actors. I remember seeing a trailer and it had me thinking it was a New movie but it was really for a novel.
The book seems like a movie in the making after all.

You absolutely need a website and a solid marketing plan. I would holla at him about that. You need to build up some suspense. The little bit you dropped on the jacket shows the potential but you should take it up a notch.
You should to get your book added to the Black Expressions book club. It's a club/ website of 400,000+ paying members who love black literature. There's an author named Trice Hickman (google her and shoot her an email) who can help you get your book on there. She'd point you in the right direction. Alot of folks do pretty well once they jump thru the hoops to get their book(s) added.
You should definitely TARGET bookstores in the DC area. People of all backgrounds eat that political thriller stuff up out here. Seriously. Wish I could give ya more. Not my area of expertise but you can count me in for a copy. Good luck bro.
