What up fam?!
I designed a few t-shirts and decided to make a website. I'm still in the begining stages so the designs are fairly simple. Nevertheless, I'm sure there are some tees in here that ya'll will feel and wanna cop.

http://www.cafepress.com/esoterictees

I would appreciate FEEDBACK.

Intelligent feedback, only:D

bro

put some more heart into the design please

nothing esoteric about those at all

the wackness can clearly be defined

Check your Pms. it's a good time to start a business like this, artist and companies that sell art are dirt cheap.

The recession is a good time to be a business man.

Man what the fuck is that? Is that shit serious or are you just tryin' to be funny? No hate but those are some bland shirts. Look like you bought some Hanes shirts and just printed some writing on them. Not even good fonts.

I was thinkin' that too but, I wanted to be alil more constructive. LOL

You just playing son? If you're serious I'm not hating I'm just saying the shirts are plainer than a motherfucker. Good hustle if you can get some sales though.

Well shit I tried but man those shirts are fucked up. The website seems solid. The idea is solid. But something isn't adding up. A nice site, nice idea but some shitty shirts? I sort of think this shit is a joke.

looking around at cafepress' website i cant help but feel they dictate the pricing around there.

OK OK OK, I get the point, lol. I'll come back in 2 weeks with more elaborate designs.

& they don't set the price, I do. Are you saying I should raise the price or lower the price?

Look at your competition, their prices, their designs, and then compare them to yours. You can get a shirt with a better design for the same price from a reputable company.

does cafepress set the prices?

CafePress sets a base price for all merchandise and your markup is your profit. So if CafePress sells blank black t's for $9.50 and you sell them with your design for $12.50, your profit is $3.50. I had my designs on all their merchandise (shirts, mugs, calendars, etc) for over a year and nobody bought any so I closed shop.

If that's the case, then why is your input more valuable then ours?

Some of us actually own businesses & design t-shirts & know wtf we're talkin' 'bout.

Man I have nothing but props for someone trying to do their thing and starting a legit biz.
Now with that said, I think your shirts can sell but not for those prices. The prices probably should be adjusted downward about
$5 to $6.

Now I don't know what kind of prices cafepress is charging you, but since your designs appear to be of the one-color variety as well as simple designs, I would think you could probably do better pressing the shirts yourself. All you would need is to send your designs to a company that could manufacturer one-color Plastisol press-ons (like Stahls). OR if you really want to keep more shit in-house you could purchase a vinyl cutter attach to your PC to design and cut your own prints. Order your shirts and press them yourself. Get yourself a decent name brand press. Be careful a lot of cheap presses out on the market. Them muthafuckas will fuck up your product. You may be able to save some bread and have more control over your product.

30 Dollars for a shirt? Man that shit is wildin'. He's too early in the process to be charging 30 dollars for a shirt. You start small then gradually increase your prices. I wouldn't pay 10 dollars for his designs and I wouldn't pay more than 10 dollars for that BGOL shirt either.

For me I don't rock clothes with another persons name or with writing on them. And no one really does but old heads. And old heads aren't paying 30 dollars for those shirts.

What sells nowadays are shirts with images. Some form of logo.

Ok then, our critique is just as valid as yours. Like I said, his shit needs work but if people are puttin' money in his acct for it, more power to him. :dunno:

Yea i'm not knockin' his hustle. Just as a person who I think these shirts are intended for? Its not something i'd purchase. Needs some improvements because aright now there's nothing that sets this shirt away from the competition and that should be your goal in starting a clothing line or a t-shirt business. What does your shirt offer that the next man's doesn't?

- all of this is subjective. a t shirt with a little razor blade on it could sell like hot cakes one spot, and get laughed at in another.

i think the slogans on his shirt are rebellious and speak to individuality. that is what is selling right now.

not to fake ass wanna be OJ DA JUICEMAN type niggas, but to college students, emo kids, and these new "jerk" hip hoppers - this is right up their alley.

OJ rock Polo's? But anyway i'm speakin' from the viewpoint of hanging around these hypebeasts type niggas all day. I've never seen a hypebeast rock shit like this. Hypebeasts rock shit with logo's on them. Shit like Bape. Shit like Rocksmith or shit like Stussy.

Now just because this shit isn't in the vein of other streetwear doesn't mean shit. He can probably try to find his own lane. I can respect that. But even in that regard these shirts can be found at Kohl's or Wal-Mart for 10 dollars. Steve and Berry's use to sell these same shirts for 8 dollars.
