Fam you're gonna have to ease her into a new lifestyle. Once people get used to eating a certain way, they get stuck. You have to trick them.

Plus our people tend to not trust the doctor. So if the doctor says take 2, they take one or none. Or something else, or a bullshit ass phoney herb.

Probably need to ease some healthier good tasting choices into her diet slowly. Some people react badly to the news that what they love to eat is killing them.

Example, when I was going to classes for diabetes, there were cats in there refusing to change eating habit.

My shit had peaked at 240 (Blood sugar, normal is 80-120) and I was feeling terrible, there were cats in there that stayed in the 5-7 hundred range and just said fuck it, I don't care.

Saw one of the brothers a few months after, cuzz was in the store with a gallon of sugar water. :smh::smh:

While we were in the clinic, he told me he was admitted with a sugar level over 900 and that he couldn't read a stop sign cause his eyes were so blurry. But I guess he loves that sweet shit more than life itself.

Crazy story. My uncle was 50 NEVER DRANK/Smoke in his life and died of lung cancer. His father my granpops smoked a pack of Winston 100's /drank a 5th of Wild Turkey EVERYDAY of his life lived to 89 and died peacefully in his sleep two summers ago..

This ain't the time to be fussing at your mother or getting mad. When her time does finally come you'll feel like shit knowing you showed out like this. Take it easy and be encouraging. You will be able to sense when the end is coming and you don't want your last conversations to be filled with anger. Trust me I know. I went through something similar in 2012 when I lost my own mother. She wasn't doing right and everyone was fussing at her. I just let my mother be my mother and enjoyed our last moments together like mother and son. I was able to let her go with lots of sadness but NO regrets.
