I have a very good friend that has been seeing her sister's man for over a year now. She says they are in love and that he is the only man for her. She was married to the same man for 16 years and her sister's man is only the second man she has had sex with. Her sister has a child with this man and has been with him for about 8 years. She no longer speaks to her sister because her sister caught her with the guy and went off on her. The man is now building a house for the sister. My friend is holding out hope that they will be together someday and says she will wait it out. She says she is happy with whatever time he makes for her. The guy says that he does not love the sister and hasn't had sex with her for over a year.

Have any of you ever been involved with a relative's significant other? Is a happy ending possible in a situation like this?

As many women that I've dated I've never considered hitting on the sister. That is a no-no.

A happy ending? I doubt it! This will cause permanent damage to the family. Even if he divorces the other sister and later marries this girl. There will be no forgiveness and once the word reaches the rest of the family, forget about it.:smh:

How soon we forget how on "The Players Club" diamond busted her cousin with her man and beat that bitches ass and she kicked her dude out. Everyone clapped and cheered in the movie theatre when that shit happened. Folks seem to think if you've done something for a long time that makes it right. See that's why I think you should establish boudaries even with sisters and close friends when dealing with your relationships. In my family you don't borrow money or call the other persons man and ask for favors. If you don't have boundaries shit like this could happen.

Never been involved in anything like this, nor have I heard about anything like this from my friends. It sounds like some high school type stuff even though she's been married before. It doesn't make sense for her to keep hoping that this guy will leave; the house he's building is an obvious sign.
 
I could never do something like this to my family, I'll keep it real though, I would have no problem if it was my girl doing this to one of her family members, but me doing it to one of my brothers....

She is 34, he is 30. He is not married to her sister but has lived with her on and off for the past 8 years. She is Asian and he is white.

the older sister was first then when here ugly sister turned in to an absolute 10 i rocked wit her as well....... 1 day i was in the house wit both of them...... it was summer time... hot as hell out side.... both basically had nothing on....... so hard to focus on the younger 1..... she looks like shit now..... her sista is STILL fine as hell..... she was working at a manhattan escort service last i heard.

I heard a story where one woman slept with her sister's husband. I mean, theyre still sisters but there's still definitely hard feelings about the whole thing.

I know another story where two brothers dated the same woman at different times.

There is nothing ether of them can say. They crossed the line! This is never a good thing in any way. What if she gets pregnant and has the kid… So they never stopped to think about that…
This is sad and very selfish of them. The guy is just getting his shit serviced and she thinks she is in love…

I know someone that did that to his brother’s wife. She got pregnant had the baby and every one put the blame on her. Everyone in their family and neighborhood knows the story and talking behind their backs. The kids are not treated the same as all of the others and the two brothers are not as they were because of this breach of trust.

There are some lines we should never cross…

As much as I am a freak I will never do anything like that and know it. I say this only I did it once with my 2nd cousin. As soon as I found out it was over. Now she on the other hand did not want it to end... That love shit again... So I told her Mother (my first cousin) and the shit hit the fan. Things were not cool for years. However, I sleep well each night because one, I did not know and second once I knew that was a done deal for me.

That was back in the eighties and I cool with everyone. However, I still avoid her to keep down the talk and feelings.

Hell Yeah. Her damn sister should do it. And she should be cut the fuck off from the family for a while. That is treason. Capital Crime. No excuses for that type of behaviour for any of the involved.
