Best R & B cd of the year for me is Amy Winehouse's new cd. I enjoyed the Jill Scott and Coranie Rae Bailey. I also enjoyed the Keyshia Cole and Jagged Edge release. Plus Joe and LLoyd made a surprisly good cd.

Nothing. Since it is NOT the best soul record of the year. It's good, but it's not THAT good.

And for the record, yeah, that Chrisette Michele is album of the year for me. It's got a little bit of everything, and they're ALL good.

OK. I've listened to Chrisette Michele's album - twice in its entirety - and there is absolutely NO WAY it's better than Amy Winehouse's. It's good but it's a little too generic.

Can someone please upload the Chrisette Michele and Bobby V cd's. I heard both before and I wasn't impressed with them at first listen so I want to listen to them again since they are getting all this hype.

Not r&b but i loved the Kenna stuff, oh and the chaka khan.

im getting into the keyshia cole album more n more as i listen.

i liked mario's Go track, but there was nothing like it on the album.
this was one time i wouldn't had minded a lil repetition.

i didn't like too much of anything this year on the r&b front,
thank god for the old school.

I pick Lloyd's "Street Love", it's the first R&B album I've bought in awhile. There's 15 tracks on there, and I only didn't like 2 of them and one was the intro.

I bought Jagged Edge's too, but it was too short.

I took the time to listen to all the previous mentioned artist and in my opinion Jagged Edge's Latest album entilted "Baby Makin Project" is an instant classic!!!! And its the best album I've heard in since Teddy Riley classic albums with Guy then Blackstreet. My only complaint is that the album is too short. I must admit that I liked Jill Scott and Keisha Cole's album too...and yes...people are sleeping on that Carl Thomas album too.
Surprising...Lloyd had a few cuts on his album that I liked too.
