I have purchased one R&B CD this year, and this is it.:yes: I hate her "perceived" image, but I love her voice and delivery style. She worked with talented producers and artist on this project. 4 out of 5 stars!

Ne-Yo--only a few joints
Mario--like a bad hand of spades
Lloyd--decent
Jill Scott--"havent heard" UPLOAD that joint
Trey Songs--few joints

Pretty Ricky--HOT--don't know if that is considered ful R&B

the only song i liked from keyshia is "trust"
and it's not even on the album
(shaking my head)

mario stepped his game up A LOT !
 
today "r&b" just doesnt do it for me. Keyshia Cole is talented but she personifies that whole ghetto aura.
 
There's not a lot of foul language on Keisha Cole's album. I can ride with my daughter in the car and not worry about turning the volume down.:yes: I heard the Mario song Go, and the lyrics are a little over the top for R&B. Again just my opinion.;)
 
I pick Lloyd's "Street Love", it's the first R&B album I've bought in awhile. There's 15 tracks on there, and I only didn't like 2 of them and one was the intro.

I bought Jagged Edge's too, but it was too short.
 
I like her album. I like her body better. Seems like those ghetto pretty redbone chics is my poison.
 
Keyshia Coles album was weak to me for some reason.

Ne-Yo's album is probally still the best to drop thus far imo. J-Holiday got a few bangers on his album. J.E. didnt have shit on thier cd except track 2. Lloyds albums was nice, Pretty Ricky's album was a banger ( fuck what u say...lol ), Music only had a few Joints, Trey Songz still has to grow on me just like his last cd, Jill Scoot aint my style, still waitin on a new Donell Jones, Jesse Powell, Dave Hollister and a few others

These are some of the best albums of the year. Trust. :yes:

*edit - How in the hell did I leave Jilly from Philly off the list?? You gots to have the latest Jill Scott or you are really slipping in your music game.
 
Jills CD was very refreshing to listen to, she went back to the style the fans liked and that made it an enjoyable to listen.

But as will all of this "new music" I just arrange it on my iPod in and order that makes the CD enjoyable to listen to because if I had to listen at it in track order I probably would not enjoy it.

That goes for Keyshia Cole and I've liked her since the first track with Kanye. Marios cd is not a good one without moving the tracks around the same for Trey Songz. There is very little good music making the airwaves because the producers are now marketing a certain demographic instead of making music that EVERYONE wants to hear.
 
Keyshia Coles album was the secound best R&B album of the year. Carl Thomas album was #1 IMO

im getting into the keyshia cole album more n more as i listen.

i liked mario's Go track, but there was nothing like it on the album.
this was one time i wouldn't had minded a lil repetition.

i didn't like too much of anything this year on the r&b front,
thank god for the old school.
