yeah I know, I just wanted to show the Shobe fans, that if they put together an all time team, Shobe would still ride the bench on it, if he even makes it. but you can't argue the list, no way you could bump Mr. Clutch off the list for Shobe.

Why would you start Kareem instead of Wilt????

He would be a PF today

I'd rather have Jamal Silk Wilkes over the person you selected
I had him, but I bumped him. He's def. an honorable mention, like Mc Adoo and he would be a PF today but that's my squad. Shit I almost chose Byron Scott over Shobe.

No Stormin Norman or Bob McAdoo?

That kind of stupid, prejudiced comment makes your whole list null and void.

Bryant's obviously a better scorer and all-around player than Goodrich, who did have a great jumpshot. Hawkins has no business being on a LAKERS list. Worthy belongs on the first team in place of Mikkelson (who was fine, but isn't even in the Hall). And Michael Cooper, one of the best defensive players in his time, belongs on there in place of Hawkins.

You're an idiot.

Magic at PF? You have no clue about the Lakers man. You bumped Kobe up to the starting lineup shows you are a dickrider. You can't possibly have a better backcourt than West and Magic.

I said that's MY team, not the official all time team, do me a favor and kill yourself.

Directed towards Blunt.

So what's the point of sharing it (or making comments within it) if it's based on nothing of serious value or isn't intended to be definitive?

Vern Mikkelson was a big PERSONAL favorite of yours? :smh:

Just face it partner the Lakers will retire Kobe's jersey and he'll go down as one of the best. If the Lakers get him help (Garnett) he may win more rings than Mike then whatchu gonna say? Magic can play any position. This nigga says I'm an idiot but he puts AC Green on his team before Bob McAdoo, Byron Scott and Norm Nixon. Fuck wrong with you u a virgin or sumptin?

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, good thing you ain't an NBA GM.

Like I said, it MY list, not the official all time list. They very well may retire Kobe's number, but so what? If he does get more rings than Mike, so what? Bill Rusell has more than everybody. Kepp the discussion to lakers players. I like my list and there's reasons why I chose those players. If you disagree, fine, but don't dickride Kobe because he can't crack the starting lineup in his own organization.

Vern defined a position so that's why he starts on my team, not a personal favorite. I'm not bumping an originator. I have reasons why I chose every player. But, why are you even commenting, it's not like you give a shit.

How was his comment "prejudiced"???

FROM THIS POINT ON, BASKETBALL THREADS SHOLD BE LEFT OFF OF BGOL. You dudes are either smoking crack or have never played nor watched competitive basketball in your entire lives. The game evolves and players skills get better and better. This isn't football or baseball (sans pitching).

Basketball is a game of skill where a guy like Bob Cousy who could only dribble with one hand and make layups wouldn't be able to be a ballboy in today's game. The BIG MEN could play in any era because outside of a few of the highly skilled bigs like Duncan, Garnett and Nowitzki, strength plays a HUGE factor. Guys are 10X more athletic than they were back then. Heck even in the 80's. Mike and Doc were so far ahead of everyone taking off from the free throw line where as a I GUARANTEE you that there at least 50 players in the league who can do that shit now.

It's not to take away from those guys back then, but to acknowledge that guys are much bigger, stronger and faster than before. Humans are larger period. And weight training in professional sports has played a MAJOR role in the advancement of the league. As good as The Logo was back then if you cold build a time maching Mike Miller's size and skill set would have him dwarfing those numbers.

Magic is a different breed. He wasn't a dominant player of strength etc.. He dominated with his skill set and the tempo he was able to control throughout the game. He would be a MOTHERFUCKER in any era. Kareem would dominate because the sky hook would still be INDEFENSIBLE. But on the other end he would get brutalized by a 7'1 350 pound cat-quick behemoth named Shaquille O'Neal. I think that matchup would be a wash myself because that sky hook would fuck Shaq's head up for sure. But Cap wasn't the type to consistently lead the league in scoring. He was more of the Hank Aaron of the NBA. Very Good for a loooooooooong time. There's a lot to be said for that though.

Please. Check those guys stats. This is about the Lakers, players past and present. You just want to bump off the older players just put guys from today. You can't ignore the contributions of the past players.

Let's see, the game's all time leading scorer. Do the math.
Game's all time point leader doesn't make him the best all time. Just means he had a longer career. Both Shaq and Wilt should start over than white-whore loving nigga.

Please. Kareem's shot was indefensible.
