The problem is not there is a shortage of good rappers, on the contrary there are too many good rappers making the market over saturated to the point where rappers come a dime a dozen... With this situation in place labels have more power than ever, demanding that rappers do what they say or its next man on deck...
Right now the trend is stupid retarded mumbling rappers, and with the power that the labels and the media has rappers virtually have no choice but to fall in line or else make way for the next guy...
 
One of the most unique rappers of the past few years. It took me awhile to get him and style especially his ad-libs.
Acid Rap is a classic, his new album Coloring Book is decent. Here's a standout track from it
