Everyone dies, but not everyone truly lives. The only thing an artist can give is that their death is not the end. Their words, their art, their music, their specialty lives on beyond their life.

Many white artists stole and didn't care, Elvis was one of those.

Artists like Jeff Beck and Tom Petty to be specific, gave tribute with their words and any way they could of the black artists that inspired them. They knew that their talent that they were able to show the world was because of the black artists and faces that were unknown to most of the people who knew their names

he was a good egg. RIP

Well said.

Jeff Beck covered a number of Stevie songs over his career.

During the early 80s, My Sister had started working for a very prestigious Law firm here in NYC. Mostly with its Entertainment Department. At times, She was sent to clients to forward Contracts, etc.

One day during the late 80s, I get a call from her. She tells Me how She had to sit at some guy's Brownstone in Greenwich Village for hours, while he and "his people" were going over contracts and documents. And how She was offered Tea, Crumpets, and if longer than usual, dinner by his Girlfriend at the time.

"I HAD TO SIT AT SOME GUY'S HOUSE FOR HOURS WHILE HE WAS POURING OVER SOME DOCUMENTS! THEY DID FEED ME. AND I NOTICED HE HAD ALL THESE GUITARS EVERYWHERE, I COULD BARELY MOVE IN THAT PLACE.

YOU EVER HEARD OF SOME GUY NAMED "JEFF BECK"?"

R.I.P.

I hate to say it, but all these 60's 70's era rock guitarists all just kind of blur together in my mind. Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Keith Richards, Robert Townsend. They all pale compared to Jimmy
