Goddamnit… who is Jim Jones? I have heard about this dude for years and I have never heard one song. Is he good? Bad? My brother was on a plane recently and told me that Jim Jones was sitting across from him. I was like “So what?”

This would be an apt description if we were referring to someone like Game who, like Jomo, appears to be a piece of shit but is a damn good rapper with classic works and features.
Jim is a hard worker and hustler but that's all I can really give him credit for.
He obviously has some hits and has made music people like but IMO that has been accomplished despite his overall lack of talent not because of it.

He overachieved… went from cams spliff star to making a hit single to being a pioneer for that love and hip hop show.. he has build some type of cult following.. went from doing patty cake on b.e.t to some of those things.. nobody expected that from him.. now the other stuff you said ehhhh let’s not get carried away
No doubt.
He's an extreme overachiever.
For him to have done so much with so little is legitimately impressive and in some ways is more of an accomplishment than someone with talent making it.
Too bad that witnessing his character, ignorance and actions for so many years overshadows all of that and makes respecting or cheering for him impossible.
