I never said that. All I said is Justin Timberlake is NOT a musical genius.

then answer the question...does kelly get a pass for his sick crimes from you and youre support of his music because he is musically talented??

its a yes or no answer..

"He's been accused of some awful things"

Cosby has been accused... The Piss Piper of R&B taped himself doing "awful things" and has a long history that has been reported on.

This pedo calls himself the pied piper... a dude who leads children away with his music. :hmm:

Can't fuck with him :smh:

Man you buggin. Google his production and songwriting credits then think about what you just typed.
Mediocrity at best. He's no great singer (which is why the comparison to one of the greatest singers of all time is blasphemy) and a highly average songwriter. He just benefited from coming along at a time when R&B music was watered down. Musically, dude is FAR from being the best of his generation, even. He might be one of the most successful as record sales go, I'll give him that.

...But record sales don't = musical genius.

If a person can make music from scratch that are hits over and over and over I consider that person a musical genius. Not only does he write the instrumental part but also the lyrics. That's musical genius.

At the time of the accusations a lil' bit, now who cares, if folks can still listen to Michael Jackson then Kellz isn't even a issue.

I hear he's also a genius at fucking children and pissing on them.

Cmon man dude needs to be castrated and crucified. He can make all the cool songs he wants in hell. I hear they got plenty of pianos, paper and pencils down there.

Question was is he a musical genius. He is regardless of what people may think of him morally.

I remember the same question was raised with Chris Brown after the abuse scandel

That can be forgiven imo, and I'm not one who believes it's cool to hit a women just because she hit first/asked for it or whatever. Dudes make mistakes, not sure CB has learned from his based on stories since, but you never know.

Being a pedo is on a entirely different level than hitting a woman... they don't change. He's probably fucking with some child right now. The pied piper... he's been trolling the entire time :smh::smh:

Whoa.
You can't compare R. Kelly's situation to MJ or anybody else.
We can think what we want about Michael Jackson, but there's no tape of him fucking with kids.
I don't know any other celebrity who recorded himself on some pedo shit.
If not for that tape, I would give R Kelly the benefit of the doubt.

But I think as a father especially a Black father it was difficult

cause many of us grew up with Kells...

and even Chris Brown when he came out was really appreciated because he was a young Black kid being treated like a real teeny bopper pop star like his white counterparts who are all just jacking Michael (badly)

it was nice seeing this Black girls scream and cry for a brother (ie New Edition) instead of all these white boy bands for once.

he had talent was clean cut had a damn gum commercial...

relatively safe for the little girls to be into.

Yes it's ok to listen to him. Some of your favorite artists in the 60's, 70's and 80's were some of the biggest abusers, drug users and just overall assholes in the history of the world but you still listen to there shit. Separate the music from the artist personally. You not hanging out with the muthafucka anyway. Your just enjoying a gift they have. They can be the nicest person in the world but if they couldn't sing or play an instrument would you listen to them? Fuck no!!

Like the Cosbyites say "where's the proof"? You have video proof that Kells is a pissing pedo.

No dis, fam. You set your standards pretty low. The last few generations have been pretty dumbed down, musically. So, I'm not surprised that he hit the way he did. He came through in an era in which bands were dying out, live instrumentation was dying out, DJ's and producers were replacing songwriters & arrangers, etc. R. Kelly wrote hit songs, yes. But genius, far from it. And he didn't write as much of those songs as you think he did.

Contrast him with Stevie Wonder, a man who not only wrote and arranged and orchestrated for bands all of his songs, but is also a master pianist and a master multi-instrumentalist with a vast knowledge of music theory. The harmonic and lyrical range and innovation of his songs are in a whole other galaxy. Not like the simple paint-by-numbers material Rob made. Remember, the 90s and 2000s up til now is NOT the era of Curtis Mayfields, Gamble & Huff, Bill Withers, Stevie, Marvin, Leon Ware etc. I'm a 70s child. So, like in 1976 for example, we had Marvin Gaye, Funkadelic, Aretha Franklin, Rufus f/ Chaka Khan, Minnie Riperton, Earth Wind and Fire, Barry White, The Isley Brothers , The Jacksons and more - all on your radio. We have not had anything resembling that sort of a talent pool getting regular radio rotation since the 80s. Rob's music never impressed me. Not when he sang in the subway as a teenager...And not when he came out in records ripping Aaron Hall's style (who himself ripped Charlie Wilson's vocal style).

I'm not knocking you for liking what you like. I used to like a few of Rob's songs myself in his early days (Seems Like You're Ready, Your Body's Calling). I stopped fucking with his music at all once I peeped he was a creep preying on our children.

so youre saying there IS a criteria for excusing a documented child molester...:hmm::smh::hmm:
Listen. There's no denying, that even though R. Kelly was acquitted... WE SEEN THE TAPE. All geechiedan is saying is dude is talented as fuck. As for me. Yes, I play R. Kelly, and everytime I do, I just shake my head, like "he fucked up his legacy, damn, he was probably thinking about a lil girl while doing this song." I laugh about that shit. Bottom line, dude is talented. I don't see people shitting on Roman Polanski, the Hollywood "A-Listers" backs him up. Not saying we should back Kelly, but race always play a part.
