Music Class: Memphis Bleek says ETHER is over-rated

:lol::lol::lol:

Project Windows and Last Words are really the joints on there I fucked with.

Nas is basically an underground mc that happened to achieve mainstream success. Whenever he attempts to make something pop he fails miserably :smh:

shoot em up and god loves us was aight too, not the level of project windows tho, that was the best song on the album , the original was better tho

:yawn::rolleyes:

"When [Funkmaster] Flex played it, I ain’t going to lie, I admitted to myself and had to tell the big homey he got us, he got one up on us. That shit was cooked crack cocaine right there. Like it was no denying that record was hot as fuck, it was a bunch of lies on that record, but it was still a hot record. One that is going down in history, you know what I mean."

— Memphis Bleek, recounting the reaction felt to Ether

It was overrated. Not a bad track, but definately overrated.

Takeover was more than just a diss track, it was about power, dominance, reigning supreme, shit was a Rocafella battle cry. A overall potent ass track imo. Jay directed one verse at Nas and sonned the shit out of him like he was a lil nigga before he spit it, Nas went and made a whole song.

Ether was aight. Initially, THE HOOK was only thing that was dope. The first two verses were weak as fuck, and I mean weak weak. Them first two verses were weak ass flailing pussy ass punches that didn't connect at all. He picked up steam by his third verse and delivered some potent blows, but that wack shit he spit beforehand taints the whole song imo.

I feel like mofos gave Nas the win because they felt sorry for him, because of the dope drops he made early in his career and because niggas just didn't wanna respect the wave/flow Rocafella had at the time.

Oh and that Blueprint 2 track was dope as fuck, just listened to it again, Jay slaughtered that nigga on that track.

Overrated. Nas came off as the underdog that the public wanted him to win, so they overrated Ether and dismissed the fact that Nas quit the battle after dropping Ether. Takeover was a much better diss because it all seemed true.
