[Verse 1]
You know I, thug em, fuck em, love em, leave em
Cause I don't fucking need em
Take em out the hood, keep em looking good
But I don't fucking feed em
First time they fuss I'm breezing
Talking bout, what's the reasons
I'm a pimp in every sense of the word, bitch
Better trust and believe em
In the cut where I keep em
Til I need a nut, til I need to beat the guts
Then it's "beep beep" and I'm picking them up
Let em play with the dick in the truck
Many chicks wanna put Jigga's fists in cuffs
Divorce him and split his bucks
Just because you got good head, I'mma break bread
So you can be living it up
Shit I, part with nothing, y'all be fronting
Me give my heart to a woman
Not for nothing, never happen
I'll be forever macking
Heart cold as assassins, I got no passion, I got no patience
And I hate waiting, ho get your ass in and let's ride

[Hook]
We doing: big pimping, we spending cheese (Check 'em out now)
Big pimping on B.L.A.D.E's
We doing big pimping up in N.Y.C
It's just that Jigga Man, Pimp C, and B-U-N B

[Verse 2: Bun B]
Nigga it's the big Southern rap impresario
Coming straight up out the black barrio
Makes a mill' up off a sorry ho
Then sit back and peep my sce-nahr-i-o
Oops, my bad, that's my scenario
No I can't fuck a scary ho
Now every time, every place, everywhere we go
Hoes start pointing - they say, "There he go!"
Now these motherfuckers know we carry more heat than a little bit
We don't pull it out over little shit
And if you catch a lick when I spit, then it won't be a little hit
Go read a book you illiterate son of a bitch and step up your vocab
Don't be surprised if your ho stab out with me
And you see us coming down on your SLAB
Living ghetto-fabulous, so mad, you just can't take it
But nigga if you hating I
Then you wait while I get your bitch butt-naked. Just break it
You gotta pay like you weigh: wet with two pairs of clothes on
Now get yo' ass to the back as I'm flying to the track
Timbaland let me spit my prose on
Pump it up in the pro-zone
That's the track that we breaking these hoes on
Ain't the track that we flow's on
But when shit get hot, then the Glock start popping like ozone
We keep hoes crunk like Trigger-man
For real, it don't get no bigger man
Don't trip, let's flip, getting throwed on the flip
Getting blowed with the motherfuckin' Jigga Man, fool

[Hook 2]
We doing: big pimping, we spending cheese (Check 'em out now)
Big pimping on B.L.A.D.E's
We doing big pimping up in P.A.T
It's just that Jigga Man, Pimp C, and B-U-N B

[Verse 3: Pimp C]
Smoking out, pouring up, keeping lean up in my cup
All my car got leather and wood, in my hood we call it buck
Everybody wanna ball, holla at broads at the mall
If he up, watch him fall, nigga I can't fuck witch'all
If I wasn't rapping baby, I would still be riding Mercedes
Chroming, shining, sipping daily, no rest until whitey pay me
Uhhh, now what y'all know bout them Texas boys
Coming down in candied toys, smoking weed and talking noise

[Hook 2]

[Jay-Z Alt. Verse]
On the canopy, my stamina be, enough for Pamela Anderson Lee
MTV jam of the week
Made my money quick then back to the streets but
Still sitting on blades... sipping that ray
Standing on the corner of my block hustling
Still getting that cane
Half what I paid slipping right through customs
It'll sell by night its egg shell white
I got so many grams if the man find out
It will land me in jail for life
But I'm still big pimping, spending cheese
With B.U.N. B, Pimp C, and Timothy
We got bitches in the back of the truck, laughing it up
Jigga Man: that's what's up

this song is certified classic the way everything comes together. Timbo has been finding, not necessarily creating, but finding obscure sounds and putting them together in a beautiful way. I mean babies crying, Indian music, all kinds of shit.

Jay Z Is Going To Trial Over ‘Big Pimpin’ Sample

Jay Z is heading to trial to prove that he rightfully used an Egyptian sample for his 2000 hit “Big Pimpin.”

Eight years ago, Jay was hit with a copyright infringement lawsuit for using a sample from a 1960 song called “Khosara Khosara” for his UGK-assisted track. The producer, Timbaland, was given the license to use the song by EMI Arabia. The song was composed by Baligh Hamdy and his heir, Osama Ahmed Fahmy who filed the lawsuit, is claiming that EMI Arabia never had the rights to license the song to anyone.

Fahmy says that he gave the Egyptian record company Sout El Phan the right to license the song to companies like EMI Arabia but they could not license the song to anyone else without permission.
The trial is slated to begin on Oct. 13th. MTV, Timbaland, Universal Music Group and Paramount Pictures are co-defendants in the lawsuit.

I bought that album the day it came out. Came with a Def Jam calendar and a fake silver dollar with Jay's face on it  I thought this shit was bonkers when I first heard it. Then it was everywhere and I didn't want to hear it anymore lol. I only recently started listening to it again. Still sounds dope

Jay Z Doesn’t Want Criminal Past Mentioned In ‘Big Pimpin” Case

Since Jay Z has to testify in the “Big Pimpin'” copyright infringement case there are some things he does not want held against him. According to reports, Jigga does not want this wealth or criminal past mentioned during the case. Hova reportedly filed a motion to keep the jury from considering his riches and past charges as factors during the case.

The trial is scheduled to begin on Oct. 13th. Besides Jay, the track’s producer, Timbaland, will also take the stand.

Osama Ahmed Fahmy is suing on behalf of his deceased uncle, Baligh Hamdi, who is the composer of “Khosara, Khosara,” the track he says Jay and Timbaland stole the melody for “Big Pimpin'” from.

Some interesting things I learned about this song while reading Jay-z' "Decoded" and Pimp C's book:

It took a lot of convincing to get Pimp C to do the song:

1) He thought the beat was goofy and would hurt their street image; he also wanted to do the beat himself
2) He had animosity towards all NY rappers
3) He didn't want to have to rap between two great lyricists

Jay-z regrets spitting that first verse because of how misogynistic it was.

Jay-z and Bun flew to Trinidad to shoot their parts, Pimp refused to fly at the time, so they shot his parts in Miami.

Pimp owned that Benz he rapped in front of (I'm assuming it's the same one he refers to when he says "smashed up the grey one, bought me a red" in later songs).

He bought it just before the video shoot with some money his homeboy fronted him and some money Jive owed him and drove it to Miami. Pimp's homeboy would later run up in Pimp's house in Atlanta and steal his studio equipment and some demos for "Dirty Money" after Pimp never paid him back.

Pimp had animosity towards Jay not only because he was from NY, but because when they went to Miami, Pimp was booked at different hotel than Jay-z which he assumed was better. Pimp went to Jay's hotel to see what was up and Jay paid for Pimp to get a room at his hotel.

Pimp still had animosity towards Jay, so to spite him, he shot his scene with Gloria Velez because Jay had picked Gloria to be in a scene with him, and Pimp shot his scene first and ended up spending the whole weekend of the video shoot with her.

The next weekend Pimp went back to Miami to shoot the "Sippin' On Syrup" video with Three 6 Mafia.

BP was the first time a lot of people saw UGK because Jive Records didn't spend a lot of money on music videos for UGK because they didn't think UGK were "video-friendly." After the success of Big Pimpin', Jive was more willing to spend some more money promoting UGK, but only if they were willing to make a "Big Pimpin' 2."
