All I can talk about is the night line up on MSNBC.
Chris Hayes just gave a pretty tough interview to an Israeli secretary but didn't get anyone from Hamas to come on because Hamas refused.
Israel is defending itself in the strictest definition of the word, it's the proportionality that's the issue. They keep falling for this trick of getting sucked into shooting battles where they kill a bunch of civilians in response to some random bombing that hits no one from Hamas (who are some corrupt mofos for ever letting shit escalate when they know their people are the ones who are going to die).
I actually think it's more powerful and meaningful to see the wounded and dying than sit around hearing one spinner after another selling their propaganda, from either side.
I'm right now watching them cover a Palestinian hospital that's overrun with the wounded, with a lot of focus on children.
Actually I think it's more powerful to hear the voices on the other side of the debate. The propaganda of one view being heard and putting those images in the context of "we are defending ourselves" etc.... Outweigh just seeing images.
