Well, no press is bad press. Two weeks ago no one even knew who cat was. Any type of legal action will only further his celebrity. I ain't mad at him. And a lotta cats are only mad at him cause they ain't do it. I only wished he'd picked a better name than Mr. Ghetto. It's that that is gonna be held synonymous with the video and the song. I urge rappers who come to my studio to pick more global names, cause it's what you will be known as forever; even if you change it. Any woman that found it degrading, are not built like those women. The clothes they had on are a lot less revealing than we've seen in videos years before this. A big ass conglomerate like Sam's/Wal-Mart realy shouldn't even bother pressing forward with a lawsuit. Cause the brotha don't have shit yet, and trust he's brought em a lot more business in the two weeks since the video dropped. They got a free commercial, whether they wanted it or not.
Even though it didn't show black people in the best light, we as black people should look at this as an attack. Any prosecution brought toward the young brother should be met with a boycott. But of course, NIGGAS won't do that. I already stay away from Wal-Mart as much as possible because they do so much damage to smaller local businesses. It would have to be some I can only find at Wal-Mart for me to go get it, which ain't much of nothing. I buy my kids prescriptions there, cause you can't beat the $4 list, and medicine shouldn't be so high anyway. If they wanted to end it peacefuly, they should allow him to reshoot a video that they would approve of being associated with their store. Every product he mentioned is sold in their stores, so what's the big deal. Summer's Eve and Masengil ain't suing him. Hell they just got moved further up the douche choice list for a lotta chicks. And I'm quite sure it's some chicks that ain't even know they could get lingerie at Wal-Mart. Lotta dudes ain't know they could save the Vicki Secret money gettin they lady bed clothes at Wally World. I don't go in the girl section, so I didn't know. News to me. I hate spendin VS prices on some shit I'ma quickly rip off anyway.
I know I'm gettin close to Collin Powell territory, so I'm end mine. But it's bigger than just a store attacking an artist for filming in their stores. They can afford to let that one slide if for no other reason but how they shit on other businesses, and their future plans. I mean let's be real, y'all don't really think they gonna remain the low price leader once they terminate all the smaller businesses. Why would they, if you the only one runnin the race, you set the pace, bottom line. They already finished off most of the mom & pop shops nationwide. There's alost no market they haven't invaded.
