I have to disagree. I'm not vibing with the show because it is trying to do too much, in my opinion, not to be predictable. I can enjoy and appreciate great writing and story telling that isn't predictable. I've said before that I am a fan of "The Americans", which isn't at all predictable. It seems to me that the writers and show runners for "The Americans" are better at leaving you scratching your head and wondering what is going to happen next or several episodes out, without making you feel like you're unable to follow the story or relate to the characters.
I started watching 'Mr. Robot" because of the tech focus. I am part of the tech community. Unfortunately, the story is just mind numbingly confusing to the point of frustration. The story itself does not move along at a preferred or acceptable pace in my view, because the show runners and writers are more interested in confusing the viewer than they are in telling a compelling story for television. Therefore, I can't enjoy the ride as you suggest. If this were a ride, I'd be vomiting and looking to get off.
You have the CSI's and Law and Order type shows that are completely predictable on one side of the extreme, then you have Mr. Robot on the other side of the extermes. Extremes are no good. I'd rather a balance or as close a balance as possible between the both.
