MR. ROBOT Official Discussion Thread (New Season starts Oct.6)

if you've seen fight club it's not that hard...dude went from practically being some random homeless guy in the train to all of a sudden being his right hand man like almost instantly then they were ALWAYS together in a scene...never saw slater by himself (except one time toward the end)...and when they were together ppl never looked from one to the other...they always spoke directly to/looked @ one or the other...not tryna be funny or pompous but it was pretty obvious

*edit*

here's proof...made this comment the same day I started watching the show...the only thing that surprised me when it was revealed is that it was his father and not some representation of himself

Ok.... You got me. You were one of the first to call it.

Hold up... Correction You just said this THIS YEAR...

Even if you haven't watched... It would be easy to kind of tell what was going on just because it is a water cooler show.

I haven't watched a single episode of Breaking Bad or Walking Dead yet I kind of know the basics. I know that black dude is gay on Fear the Walking Dead and I haven't watched a second of it. Just dipped in a couple threads.

na never heard anything about the show outside of the title and what a few posters said while recommending the show to me...wouldn't really be much of a guess/prediction if I already knew that going into the show...anyway it's not 'wanna cookie' worthy for me...it wasn't hard to guess @ all imo

agent dom is so close on their heels its crazy. office politics is saving fsociety's ass at the present time. fat boy is paranoid about the feds, when his ass should worried about the nine/five army. them fuckas bodied feds in china and bodied themselves on gp. those are folks that got me :scared:. the feds who?

peace

correct me if i am wrong but is the muslim hacker's dad the guy who owned the deli shop that the fbi chick frequented?
Nah that dude in the store had hair and her Pops is bald if not mistaken unless he shaved. Will check again to make sure
fuck it seems like they're busted
Feds fishing & don't have shit unless the DarkArmy rigged the router b4 giving it to CDboy(who's lucky big faced Darlene ain't kill his punk ass since she's on a roll).
They're actually imploding, firing dept heads left and right off the strength of that conference call & last msg.

I wonder who the other 16 code name suspects are since their team has been exceptionally careful & I'm sure part of the boys end game wasn't people getting fired.
Fat dude may have made himself food getting his phone on the homegirl's site when he 1st met her trying to be cute.

He also was talking that scared shit so he may have already gotten fed to the wolves via CDboy then the DarkArmy to be one of those code names on the feds little list.

They did say the backdoor is now in play so Phase2 is abt to jumpoff.
I'm with Darlene on that one but I haven't yet figured who Elliot sees her in the room talking to other than MrRobot.

I know this show uses humor sparingly but would love if they featured the song below somewhere in background or soundtrack.

Lol

The interesting thing about this show is how our heroes are becoming soulless and evil.

Darlene went from being a tagalong kid sister creeped out by Elliot's ideals to a murderer who can dismember a corpse without feeling anything.

Angela went from being a working class schlub to a double agent who can shit on her own people and fuck a rich old stranger in a bar without feeling anything.

We see this foreshadowed in the first five minutes when Darlene plays Elliot's message at Ron's Coffee Shop. At the end of the scene the camera zooms into the giant E-Corp logo on the back of the laptop. It was telling us that, from its very creation, F Society was about to become just as evil as the corporation it was fighting.

What I'd like to know is

1) Did Elliot know that Ron Coffee Shop was a front for a massive online child pornography ring when he asked his crew to meet there?

2) How in the hell is Ron's Coffee Shop still in business less than a year after the owner was busted by the FBI and probably received a considerable prison sentence?

I know yall caught Angela singing this....

Almost everybody on the show does.

E-Corp wants to rule the world by holding its debt

the FBI wants to rule the world through wanton surveillance

The dark army wants to rule the world through terror and intimidation

F Society wants to rule the world by creating chaos and anarchy.

Elliot is the only person in the show who actually wanted to save the world without dominating it.

Come to think, it's ironic that the only good, honest person in this show is a drug addicted master criminal who suffers from delusions.

The song sums up the whole show perfectly

I also just noticed the posters in CD Boy's apartment.

A hand holding a gun saying "Regulators Let's Dance" indicates that Darlene is about to come toe to toe with some real killers. Dude also has a flyer for a ghostface Killer concert on his wall.

When Darlene finds out he's been a double agent for the Dark Army there's a smaller poster in the background. A picture of a butt with the caption "Booty Magic". In other words, she should have known that he was going to betray her from the go get, but the good dick made her ignore the obvious.

tryna work myself up to watch season 2...I like a lot of the characters but felt very letdown by the story toward the end of season one...the christian slater reveal wasn't that big...I knew from ep one he was a figment of his imagination...I'll admit I was surprised it was his pops tho...I love the presentation...little things that it does very well...and the bleakness of the show which can sometimes be a bit depressing but it is brutally honest which is good...I'll read the comments up to the end of season one...maybe there is something I missed/didn't get toward the end there as I watched the last 4 eps back to back

Yeah it was obvious that mr robot was in elliots head since the very first time he went to the arcade and nobody even looked in mr robots direction but looked right at elliot. And I knew mr robot was elliots dad too called that early.

That used to be my shit.....

Like I 1st stated in my post, that was the closing music in this classic nerd, world takeover flick

& Ange is on her way to try to do as much as that as she can by any means so it seems......

you think so? didn't he ask for a lawyer and refused to respond to the fbi chick probing?
....then Dom got admonished for "starting @ the bottom and not the top" meaning that they were just reaching @ straws with the flyer designer which is all he is to them
but his handle djmobley could easily be placed somewhere by the DarkArmy through whatever protocol they informed CDboy/Cisco was abt to go down next......

Come to think, it's ironic that the only good, honest person in this show is a drug addicted master criminal who suffers from delusions.
Been saying that he's not even the top 3 or even 5 craziest psychos on this sbow....

It was a flashback scene. That was where FSociety was born. It was a different coffee shop and they make a reference to the other one with the high speed wifi.

All of those coffee shops are owned by the same guy. Also, Elliot busted him out around the same time that F Society was formed.

It's a different coffee shop. The fat guy mentions that they could've met up at that other coffee shop down the street with the extremely fast wifi connection. He said that you could practically stream 4k videos there. In the first episode Elliot questioned why ALL of the coffee shops owned by that guy had such fast connections when he confronted the owner (he already knew the answer).

It was also used as a reference point to when big man texted Trenton to tell her to met where we 1st met so if them boys were monitoring his phone, they wouldn't know where that was exactly (but we would) snice hs refreshing phone is on that courier's bike.
