Equilibrium - Christian Bale and Taye Diggs OWNED that movie! Set in a futuristic world where wars have pushed man to the brink of self-destruction, Man's last resort was to create a world without feelings or emotions. That was his answer to eradicating the need for wars. Art, music, movies, and anything creative were burned, including the people who owned such things.
Strange Days - Ralph Fiennes (for some reason, it's pronounced "Rafe Fine"), Angela Bassett, Tom Sizemore (from Saving Private Ryan), and Juliette Lewis round out the cast. Set in the last days leading up to the year 2000, it's a murder-mystery-action movie that'll hook you before you reach the 10-minute mark!

I HIGHLY recommend this one! (Action - Not suitable for any Children)
Pan's Labyrinth - Don't let the fantasy-esque box confuse you, this one isn't for the kids! After the first 15-20 mihutes, you'll see why. I've only seen the Spanish language with English subtitle version, not sure if there's an English dubbed version, but it's a pretty good film from Spain![]()
(Fantasy - Not suitable for any Children)
Grandma's Boy - Throughout the entire movie:![]()
-gasp-
This movie is a hilarious movie about a guy that works as a game tester that (you guessed it) lives with his grandma. Need a good laugh? Pop this DVD in, grab a drink, and enjoy! (Comedy, Not suitable for most children)
Night Watch/Day Watch - Two films from Russia about two modern-day opposing clans of Watchers that have been battling for centuries. It's barely known about over here in the States, but you might be able to find it on eBay or Amazon (or a Torrent site, I've heard...) Pretty good movies, the antagonists can be likened to Vampires, since, after drinking blood, they gain special abilities like appearing to vanish from sight (actually, they're going into what's known as "the Darkness" or something), and moving at superhuman speeds. (Action - Suitable for Teens)
Sunshine - Starring the guy who played "Scarecrow" in Batman Begins (don't feel like loading up IMDB to find his name), and a few other new faces, this movie is a Sci-Fi masterpiece. A team of astronauts sets off to venture to an unlikely place - The Sun. No bullshit. Story goes that the Sun ends up dying out in the near future, causing the earth to get extremely cold, crops die, and in a few years, life will not be able to be supported on Earth. Humanity ends up getting this idea that in order to "relight" the Sun, they'll need to send a ship equipped with a nuclear kiloton bomb into the Sun, thus refueling it. They've sent one up before, only to lose contact with it...(Science-Fiction - Suitable for some children, over the age of 10)
Serenity - While I'm talking about Science Fiction, grab this one & the DVD Boxset of the Television show it's based upon, Firefly. Trust me, this shit is ADDICTIVE! Kinda pissed me off that Fox cancelled the TV show with only ONE season. But I digress. A Lot of TV/Movie Talent in this movie/TV series. I'll try to break both down seperately, No Spoilers:
FIREFLY: In the near future, Earth as we know it becomes uninhabitable by our own doing, so the world banded together to form an Alliance. The two forces in the Alliance were the U.S., and China (this is why most characters in the movie/TV show speak English and Mandarin). They found a new Solar System, with new planets that were then Terra-Formed, a process that makes the planets habitable. When we left "earth that was", there were planets on the outer rim of the new solar system that the Alliance didn't much cater to. The people of these planets were given little, if not anything to start their lives on these planets - blankets, a few cattle, livestock, some seeds, what have you. The Alliance still wanted these outer rim planets - The Independents - under it's control. A War breaks out, with the Alliance winning. Malcom Reynolds and his 2nd in command Zoe were soldiers in that war; their last stand was in the Battle of Serenity Valley. After the war, they got themselves a ship, a crew, and started looking for work - both legal and illegal.
I could go on and on about it, but I did say "no spoilers" didn't I?
SERENITY: A Movie written by the show's creator Joss Whedon to kind of "close the gaps" that fans wondered about after Fox (bunch of dumbasses they are) cancelled the show. All the actors from the Series appear, with a few new faces. It closes mostly all gaps that the TV show might have left open, seeing that there was only ONE season. I recommend seeing the TV series first, then watch the movie, although I saw the movie first, then saw the TV series, but whichever way you do it, you'll still enjoy these two. (Sci-Fi/Action - Suitable for some children, from 10+)
Good idea. Here's my submission (sorry about the size)

thats a good lookDeliver Us From Eva
Well written comedy/romance film, and Gabrielle Union played a convincing "sharp-tongued/uptight" role.
It was well worth my money buying it on DVD.
I posted it in the Hollywood Movie section, 1-linked too:
Here's the thread shortcut.
This movie was great, but it was NO SLEEPER.
