It's finally here -- our Atrix 4G review! We know you've waited and wondered, and we've finally had enough time with the phone, laptop dock, HD / desktop dock, and all the accessories to give you a proper take on this utterly unique smartphone. Did we say smartphone? Really that's not quite right, because the dual-core-CPU-sporting device actually does quadruple duty as a laptop, set top box, desktop computer, and... well, it works as a smartphone too. The Atrix 4G, which sports a 4-inch, 960 x 540 display, HSPA+ data, and a slew of other juicy specs is absolutely the first of its kind -- a multi-use device intended to replace your netbook (and maybe more) via its Webtop environment. But can a phone be powerful enough to become your laptop or hub of your home theater? Is Motorola's new phone set to be the king of the Android heap, or just another face in the crowd? a co-worker received his today. played around with it and it's pretty nice. did not seem as smooth or fluid as the iphone while navigating
 
Phone drops tomorrow. I got the chance to play with it last week. When I say that mother fucker is fast I mean it. Dope ass phone. I hear it's already been rooted so yea. It's a must have if u got 199 and an eligible upgrade or add a line. The laptop adapter also charges the phone. It doesn't have a power source? :confused: the atrix once docked turns the laptop on. It has a full fire fox browser. U can answer calls and shit will docked.... Phone is :yes:

When is Sprint gonna come out w/ some hot shit
My Verizon contract is almost up & I'm ready to jump ship

Sprint is supposed to be announcing a new phone on the 24th... but from what I gather its going to be one of those bullshit ass windows phones.

I have an 3GS iPhone

We supposed to get a live atrix delivered to the office tomorrow

Might have to switch up and grab one of these I have only heard great things

I need more frigging ram and the iPhone ain't cutting it right now

I feel you. I can't do at&t and sprint got the evo joints. I'm on vzw but I'm kinda tired of paying a lot even though the phones and service is righteous. Also the atrix will be coming to verizon later on this year.
 
I have the Atrix, I am using it right now and it rocks. My iphone has been downgraded to a backup/giveaway phone.

When I am able to come on this board and access everything before rooting the thing... I forgot that its native just like this.

If this phone came out with the iphone, as Rakim said, 'competition is none'

Verizon is NOT getting the atrix. They're getting the bionic, which is a different phone.

verizon is getting the bionic but it is less powerful (spec wise) than the atrix and has a bigger screen from what i read 4.3 vs 4.0?!?

Sprint has the EVO. That has been (and IS) the premier Android phone since the summer. What are you talking about fam?!? But 4real i don't care about tread jacking...Tmobile is the biggest slacker of all when it comes to phones. I heard that they are going to come out with a 2011 version of the f'n SIDEKICK!!!!:angry:

I need an atrix/evo equivalent on tmobile ASAP.

Yeah I read about that but there are no leaks or unofficial "official" pics like the norm. I got an HD2 with a ported over Android ROM. Phone works fine, but I want the android to be native to the phone. I wish there was a glut of phones coming out at one time so i could pick and choose like with Verizon and At&t. I will have to probably wait until the fall to see what motorola and Samsung are going to do for phones on t-mo.
 
LOL niggas claimin the phone gettin hot from a few minutes in the store and all kinds of shit. You iphone niggas never cease to amaze me.
 
I've been testing it on this board since monday, the only thing I truly miss from the iphone is the keyboard style, but that was probably due to years of use.
