I still need answers for how the hell Sub Zero lived for so long. He killed Scorpion in 17th century Japan & was walking around in modern day like he was celebrating his 30th birthday
They have over 20 plus years of lore they could've implemented but instead, they go with a Cole fuckin' Young.

Plus the muthafucka couldn't act.They have it set up for sequels and they'll probably happen, but they should have broken this up some and not thrown so much in this movie. Especially if you want to throw in unnecessary wack characters in. That way they could have had a better fleshed out world.
This makes me want to go back and watch the original today, because it's been years since I've seen that.
It had a lot of unanswered questions, I just looked at it as a fun time.

Only knocked it down because of Cole Young.. seriously? who the fuck is Cole Young? The only other casting I didn't really like was Raiden. Seemed to young to be playing an elder god. But they did good fan service and kept the movie entertaining.

First issue is Cole Young!!! New that was a terrible idea after the first trailer. No need for a new character in the MK universe not from the games.
Reptile was complete trash. The look for starters and the usage of him. Cole fucking Young!!!
Couldn’t take Sonya Blade as a bad ass special forces soldier seriously. Cole fucking Young!!!
Shang Tsung was just a wimpy bad guy. Cole fucking Young!!!
Nitara could’ve been either better created or not at all. Her death scene was live though. Cole fucking Young!!!
Kabal was cool but his characterization was lackluster. Cole fucking Young!!!
Goro loses to Cole fucking Young and that horrendous as bodysuit! The writers should slap the fuck outta themselves for that
Jax getting his mechanical arms was by far the dumbest shit I’ve ever witnessed and I’ve witnessed a lot of dumb shit. The way he lost them I could live with, but the way he got the new ones was terrible. Cole fucking Young!!!!
Kano was the only characterized upside to the movie outside of Sub-Zero but it was overdone. Cole fucking Young!!!
The MK birthmark shit was stupid af! They already did something like that wack ass MK: Annihilation bullshit. And the way they get their MK powers was stupid af. Cole fucking Young and that got damn bodysuit armor!!!
Lou Kang was underutilized and seemed like a whiny bitch. Liked that he was about that action but he is the most badass character in the game, yet they treated him like a second rate amateur, yet Cole fucking Young is supposed to be the man?!?!
Raider was trash in my opinion! He didn’t offer anything to the story except for name. Oh, and Cole fucking Young!!!
Scorpion didn’t seem menacing enough to me. You were more on edge with Sub-Zero when he hit the screen than Scorpion. I like the actor but he’s not menacing enough to be Scorpion. And Cole fucking Young was supposed to be his heir? Smh
Kung Lao was dope but they killed him the fuck off!!! What the fuck, mayne?!?!
All I have to say is that they better fix a lot of shot going into the second movie. Get the writers the fuck outta here, get the studio the fuck outta here and let some real muthafuckas write this shit! Don’t add no more bullshit outside of the established lore and stick the damn games!!!! No more Cole fucking Young bullshit!!! Either make him a qualified badass or kill that muthafucka off early!!!

i paused the movie just to IMDB who she was. Fine asf. I just hope to god they didnt waste her and she plays Katana and jade as well. Visually the movie was Fine, story wise it was ridiculous. The 90s version told a better coherent story. I think for all they were going for It should have been a series instead of a movie.
Hated: They wasted a bunch of characters. They got their powers like they xmen or some shit.
Love: Sisi Stringer. Although fan service "Flawless Victory" was the best part. And it was kinda cool that sub zero was strong he was like a world breaker.
The one thing I've always hated about Raiden is that he always let people die and talk about it's destiny. Then,says he can't interfere but Shang Tsung and Shao Kahn does it all the time....

Movie was cool to me especially when you don't have to go to the theater and spend a $100 lol, y'all right about the main character and the reviews have pretty much said the same thing, he didn't do much for the movie but Kano was a funny dude. @God Dammit right about dude playing Scorpion, he seemed a bit old for that character.

Watched it last night. Movie didn't live up to the hype. Poor character development and movie was not fleshed out enough while needing to be at least 2 hours. Cole was simply a plot device for Scorpion. I felt like Kano was the best part of the movie. I enjoyed the movie but as a fan I know it could have been so much better. Hopefully they address the flaws in the sequel.
