While I'm not a fan of either, I don't see either Steele or West as the self hating types. In Steele's case, he was okay and often appeared on Warren Ballentine's show but he lost me when he finally got a semblance of power in the Republican Party and just forgot all the shit he was talking about making the party more accessible and engaged to Black Americans.
West is just a fucking, opportunistic clown, no different than a Michelle Bachmann or Steve King.
