A Green Beret is a hat. The men who wear them are the unconventional trainers until such time as we move on to other things. That unconventional training is provided to non-American Forces. Any training we give ourselves or other SOF entities is done in accordance with the mandated guidlines set by the various SOF training elements (USASOC, NSW, MARSOC, AFSOC). We don't train Marines and Seals in "green beret" airborne operations. They have the own guidance on how to run a drop zone and they all learn static line parachuting from Benning's Jump School. Military Freefall (MFF; but commonly referred to as HALO by the uninformed) is taught by the SWTG primarily but various elements can run their own course as long as they are a Tier One Special Mission Unit.

In short, this guys is full of shit.
