Vick shoulda did some scouting. Mcnabb took a beating for years behind that line and that system. . . Guess he thought he could out quick them. . .

Vick is getting hit WELL after the ball is OUT of his hands. Every D-Coordinator is telling the defense to hit him hard every time - even after the pass.

The play that he broke his hand on should have been personal foul plain and simple. It was AFTER the ball was gone and it was helmet to helmet. No call!?!?!

I watched NFL Networks Gameday and Deion Sanders said that Vick is cursed cuz he is a "running" QB...GTFO! Vick CLEARLY stated that he is only talking about the hits when he is in the pocket on pass plays. I say this the last two weeks, but that call was a blatant violation.
 
i think the analysts are conflatin' the argument...

vick isn't sayin' that all those penalties that the refs call in favor of other QB's are late hits...

BUT if you're gonna throw a flag on those kinda hits for other QB's ... then he's sayin' he should be afforded the same protection when he's in the pocket tryna be a so-called traditional QB ....

so analysts today should not be singlin' out vick... but what they should be sayin' is "NO QUARTERBACK SHOULD GET THOSE CALLS" .... or the refs should be consistent ...

and if that's their opinion then so be it...

i think vick is in a similar position as shaq in that because of their unique set of physical skills ... refs don't know how to officiate them...

Vick need to worry about the O-line not holding up long enough.Guess he dont say shit when he refuses to run out of bounds or slide, instead of take the hit.
 
Bottom line is Vick isn't looking a good as he did last year thats the bottom line. The second truth is the Oline suck. The third thing is the D is terrible. The forth thing is their receiving core is just good not great, personally I would take Dallas receiving core over the Eagles. They say he holds the ball to long thats because the receivers dont get open fast enough.

I keep trying to explain this to people. If other teams only have to rush 3, they are dropping 5 into coverage. Who the hell do you want him to throw the ball to when you're receivers are 5'10 and 6'0 with 5 dudes covering them?

of course they are if you watch tape and you see that you can exploit something that is not being called by the refs why not exploit it until the refs call it.
 
The officiating this year is worse than ever, Period. When it comes to QBs the officials are letting public opinion affect their calls. This applies to Vick, Cutler, and a number of other Qbs/Teams. If they aren't media darlings, they are allowed to be abused.

Also, I'm so dang sick of the Packer lovefest it's killing me. Every 3rd commercial is a Packer commercial. When has any other superbowl champ ever gotten this much love? Don't even get me started on the game. Pack DBs are allowed to create illegal contact, arrive early, and interfere with passes with minimal calls. Their lineman are rarely flagged for holding cause it keeps Rodgers upright.

That BS at the end of the game yesterday took the cake. You throw a flag because something looks foreign to you? Then you don't admit that you made a mistake on the flag, you call a phantom hold instead?

These officials are making the games darn near unwatchable. :smh:

bullshit the o line was terrible the first game of the season and in preseason i'll give you that but the line is giving him the same amount of time in the pocket that cover boy brady gets most times and unlike brady after he steps up and delivers the ball he is take a shot.

The o line gave up 0 sacks last week and two sacks late yesterday when the backup was in there.

he called it correct he doesnt want to complain but he is not getting the same shake that other qbs get.

I heard Golic this morning. I was like - WTF?!?!? He said that Mike, essentially, should quit crying and that the hit in question got mike on the SHOULDER PAD?!?!?!?! He F-N works for a sports network. If he can't see that that was helmet to helmet there is no point listening to his position cuz he is flat out wrong.:angry:

Mike, IN THE POCKET, gets a lot of extra hits, pushes and take downs - AFTER the ball is thrown. They said it this morning that he made an appeal to the officials in training camp to look out for it. He also, like I said before, KNOWS that the defensive game plan is to lay as many licks on him as they can and when they can. Then Trent Dilfer chimed in with his immobile/bust - of - a -first - round -draft- pick self.:smh: He was almost disgusted that mike opened his mouth at all. :hmm:

I agree, HOWEVER, in light of all the "experts" and failed sports commentaros, they are acting like what he is saying (while it is on tape) is actually invisible. the refs were in a position, on at least that play, to make the correct call. That hit in particular lead to his broken hand. That is massive and not even a penalty. no defender should get away with that if it is CLEARLY visible.:smh:

if you want to blame the oline the sack numbers would be higher, if you want to say he is holding the ball too long then you can't blame the oline they have a count in their heads to as long they are suppose to hold a block for to call it a successful stop, watch the fucking film the ball is down the field complete or incomplete and all you hear is vick took a big shot there.

some of them are good hits on the qb you know stand in there with the pressure and make the plays but a lot of them are late then the fucking ref decides to open his eyes and wants to help the dude off the ground
