Last night was a great night. An historic night. But what now?? We can't go back to life as it was before, or the pendulum will just sway back to the right in a few years. We need to do things much differently. These are just one man's opinions:

1. We need to go back to being the true Democratic Party, the Democratic Party of FDR and LBJ. The Democratic Party that was truly focused on building the American economy from the bottom up, not the top down. Since Bill Clinton in 1992, this party has been a Republican-lite party, bringing in NAFTA, signing anti-black crime bills, and constantly courting the "white working class voter" (I.e. MAGA) while neglecting to speak directly to rural blacks, young black men, and other groups who should be a strong part of their base. For the past fifty years, Republican policies have brought millions and millions of people in this country to poverty, even most MAGA voters. Yet, with the exception of Jesse Jackson in '84 and '88, not one Democratic candidate has even uttered the words poor or poverty, let alone addressing those needs. President Biden was returning to it, but didn't get the chance to see it through. It's got to happen again.

2. We need to start building our legal "Dream Team" right now to send a message to every potential future Donald Trump who is willing to disregard the Constitution and the law to get what they want. Pam Bondi, Pete Hegsteth, Kristi Noem, Kash Patel, Tom Homan, along with every Cabinet member who knowingly perjured themselves in Congressional hearings, and every single I.C.E. murderer and shooter needs to be investigated and placed behind bars with stiff, heavy sentences. And somehow, someway after 2028, Donald Trump needs to be sent to The Hague and tried for war crimes before the International Criminal Court.

3. The Supreme Court needs to be immediately expanded by a minimum of six seats, and D.C and Puerto Rico need to gain statehood.

4. This party needs new, aggressive, progressive leadership, especially at the DNC. This party refuses to implement a 50-state party-building ground game strategy to build its base and to develop and support good candidates, no matter which state they're in. Had they done that, Hillary Clinton doesn't lose. Kamala Harris doesn't lose. Mike Espy doesn't lose the Senate in Mississippi, Andrew Gillum doesn't lose to DeSantis in Florida, and Angie Nixon doesn't lose last night. There are good, strong progressive potential candidates all over Indiana (in Indy, Gary, East Chicago), Missouri (in St. Louis, Columbia and K.C.)Kentucky, Alabama, Tennessee, and Louisiana. There's no way we should be conceding these states to Republicans.

5. We need to make taking corporate money and AIPAC money as unpopular for Democratic politicians as committing rape or murder, and refusing to vote Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries into leadership next year would be a real good start. There's much, much more that needs to be done, but at least these are some things that could be a start to getting things rolling.

FDR and LBJ screwed black folks over.

We can't let another Paul Vockler happen again. No sir. No, ma'am.

The MAGA news people already talking about the Democrats should focus on the economy and not on investigation committees againsts MAGA :roflmao2::roflmao2::roflmao2::roflmao2::roflmao2:
"This is a time for ALL Americans Black, gay, Latino. To all come together and roll up our sleeves and get to work on making America greaaa......BETTER! To Make America Better! This division isn't helping the country."
