ETA: Worked like a charm...but one question...I already had MS Office Student Edition installed on a trial basis with PowerPoint, Word, and One Note. I checked the properties and those still said Student Edition instead of BLue Edition...when the trial expires in 60 days...whats gonna happen or what should I do?

I was just coming to bump this on general principle...

This shit won't load on my Laptop for shit. I just recently copped an HP Pavilion dv7, removed my trial version of Office and tried to install this one but it says exactly "Setup cannot continue because a required file is either corrupted or not available. Run setup again from the original source disc or download location". I dl'ed the file, burned ISO file to disc with Nero 7 Ultra Edition. I know others on here have had similar problems, does anyone have any more/other suggestions?

How were you able to simply put it on a cd, open the file and click on the exe file when its an ISO file? As soon as I unzip the damn thang it automatically brings up my Nero software and is ready to burn as an ISO file. When I double click on the burned ISO file, it doesnt allow me to select anything, it automatically goes to setup and this is where the problem begins. Would it matter if I have a 64 bit OS as opposed to the 32?

Try mounting it on a virtual drive like Daemon Tools or Slysoft's DVD Virtual CloneDrive (it's free) http://www.slysoft.com/en/virtual-clonedrive.html I have used this verson that BenQ dropped by burning it to discs, mounting and installing via virtual drives on 32 & 64 bit XP, Vista and Windows 7 with NO problems, try downloading it again and start over fresh.

turn off automatic updates if you have any MS software running unvalidated. you gotta do that.

manual updates are necessary. gotta stay on top of that. on that note, here...
