Micro SD card not recognized after formatting on S20 ,Help !!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased a Sandisk 512 GB to use on my S20. I installed it on the phone first it was recognized then formatted it now it doesn't show up any where phone and Computer. I tried to trouble shoot on computer windows 11/ SD Card Readers and nothing I tried with other SD cards and it works what happened did it brick ? damaged? I'm lost

It happened to my son. There is some low level firmware on the card that can be manipulated to show capacity greater than what is actually available. Then when you exceed the actual capacity, which is usually a small fraction of the advertised amount, the sd dies. Its a very cruel scam if people relied on it for important pics or docs. He also bought the card on amazon, but sold by a third party company. I hope you have better luck than he did.

Tons of cards on Amazon are fakes. Last company that I worked for I helped develop are CFexpress, SD & Microsd cards.

Even some of the big companies have gotten got with batches of fakes.

Make sure it's not locked. That's the most common reason. The little tab on the side.

And amazon isn't the best place to buy ANY kind of electronics. You pay to play. Their percentage of gray market, scam, and (basement)refurbished sold as new is way, way higher than a store like B&H for instance.

Check the tab, try again. If it doesn't work it's just bricked. Toss it. Chalk it up to experience and go to B&H or Micro Center if you have one near. It's not that expensive.

My Samsung S23+ came today......not gonna play with it til my case comes tomorrow.

Mine came last Friday...... copped it with a case for around $417.00 and kept my old Note 8 as a back-p.... had over $700 in Amazon reward points saved up... glad I did it that way.... I fucked up somewhere somehow with my password and locked myself out of it..... had to do a hard factory reset erasing everything and bringing it back to when I first turned it on.... just had to transfer the data from my old phone again

Yeah Amazon/ Whole Foods for the easy return no need to package it Yeah I did everything suggested above it was legit 512 GB (499 actual) when I put it inside the S20 I then formatted it and poof it doesn't exist appreciate the assistance.
