I went to VT while he was there. I knew his crew well. Vick rarely went out to the bars. When he did, he was home early. He was always studying football.

Vick being a horrible student of the game, never studying, and playing almost purely on athletic talent was the worst kept secret in football. He even confirmed such while in Philly. Admitting to being a poor student even AFTER prison and Andy Reid giving him a chance at redemption. He didnt start actually "studying" until he laid an egg in his first games of seeing real time in Philly.
And he was even worse in Atlanta.. they said the cat would get the playbook and throw that shit in the trunk of his car never to be seen again.

I don't know about the rumors in Atlanta, but in college, he was always studying the sport. He didn't start after he was in Philadelphia. He started before he got to the league.
