I was listening to 790 The Zone, Atlanta sports station and they had
on an investigative reporter for WAVY-TV out of Virginia saying police
are now reporting Vick not only knew of the dog fighting ring operating
out of a home he owns, but he was deeply involved in all aspects of
the enterprise.
The reporter said police have reported Vick, who claims to never visit
the property and had no knowledge of any illegal activities going on there,
was a frequent visitor. Neighbors, store owners and even the contractor
who renovated his house for the business, all say Vick was there often
and even attended some dog fights. The contractor allegedly claims Vick
worked with him on the design of the house and property to make it
suitable for dog fighting including bringing in treadmills for the dogs to
train on.
The reporter also said none of the people living at the house are
employed and the operation cost hundreds of thousands of dollars a
year to maintain.
With the way new NFL commissioner Roger Godell handled the Pacman
Jones matter and Falcons owner Arthur Blanks higher ground attitude
towards his players, Michael may have played his last game in a
Falcons uniform, even if isnt convicted of any of the potential felonies
cops are preparing to charge Vick with.
