I understand this point but by now, we know what our enemy is thinking and saying. You know what Rush is going to say. Same with Savage and Beck and Hannity.
I rarely ever listen to a radio talk show to hear what the host is going to say, since like you said, you mostly know what they are going to say. You learn more about your fellow citizens by listening to callers from these shows. That's always been the interesting part for me. The callers become almost like characters in a movie...there are the regulars, the protagonists, the antagonists, the first timers, etc...
The callers have always been the most interesting part of any talk radio show. That's one thing I liked about Bob Grant's show. He had the best callers, and he actually let them speak.
