Liberal filmmaker Michael Moore on Friday cast doubts on President Trump’s positive COVID-19 diagnosis, saying the president is “not above weaponizing” the virus to buoy his chances in the November general election.
“There is one absolute truth about Trump: He is a consistent, absolute, unrelenting, fearless, and professional liar. A serial liar. A factually proven liar,” Mr. Moore wrote in a lengthy Facebook post Friday morning.
“So why on earth would we believe him today?” he asked. “Has he earned your trust now? No. … We must always remain skeptical when it comes to Trump. He may have it. But it’s also possible he’s lying. That’s just a fact.”

Mr. Moore said Mr. Trump is “canny” and “clever” enough to use his diagnosis to change the conversation about this campaign following Tuesday night’s presidential debate.

“He’s an evil genius and I raise the possibility of him lying about having COVID-19 to prepare us and counteract his game,” he wrote. “He knows being sick tends to gain one sympathy. He’s not above weaponizing this. He’s been lying about how soon a vaccine will be ready. What better way to hammer home that lie then by directing a saga in the final weeks before the election that culminates in the release of this ‘vaccine.’”

“But most dangerously, HE MAY USE THIS TO PUSH FOR DELAYING/POSTPONING THE ELECTION,” he continued. “The constitution does not allow for this, but he doesn’t give a [expletive] about the Constitution. He and his thug Attorney General [William] Barr have no shame and will stop at nothing to stay in power. He may even use this as an excuse for losing.
“Then there’s this: He may use his Covid as a pretext to drop out of the race and move Pence to the top of the ticket,” he wrote. “Pence would temporarily become President, and then Pence could pre-emptively pardon Trump for all of his crimes.”

Dr. Sanjay Gupta (CNN) is also questioning the sequencing . . . From the ‘breadcrumbs” being released from beginnings just the other day - to - hospitalization. --> It’s Not Quite adding up: [the timing from his last negative test - to first positive test- to first symptoms] -- are off).

Moreover, the doctor that Trump has making releases to the public regarding all of this - HAS NO COVID CREDENTIALS.

ON ANOTHER NOTE: At least three (3) of the Republican Senators on the Judiciary Committee have tested positive with COVID. Will the Republicans have enough to convene a hearing on the new Supreme Court Nominee??? Will there be enough Republican Senators to confirm her???

Trump Ignores CDC Advice to Take Joyride, With Grim Secret Service Agents in Tow

The president left Walter Reed’s presidential suite in a motorcade to wave to supporters, potentially exposing several Secret Service agents to the coronavirus.

After teasing a “little surprise visit” via video on Twitter, President Trump left the hospital on Sunday afternoon to wave to supporters from the back seat of an SUV.

It’s been a very interesting journey. I learned a lot about COVID, Trump, who is still suffering from the coronavirus, said in the video. “I learned it by really going to school, this is the real school, this isn’t the ‘let’s the read book’ school, and I get it, and I understand it,” he added.

Then, contradicting his own words and the advice of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the president left Walter Reed National Military Medical Center’s presidential suite to wave to supporters from a car— a decision that forced at least two Secret Service agents to don personal protective equipment as they shared the same air and enclosed space of the vehicle.

The CDC website explicitly states that if a person is sick with COVID-19, they should stay at home except to get medical care. The CDC’s language is more forceful in its guidelines for health-care workers. “In general, transport and movement of a patient with suspected or confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection outside of their room should be limited to medically essential purposes,” its FAQ page reads.

Medical experts questioned the wisdom of the stunt.

“In general, if someone is ill enough [with the coronavirus] that they need to be in the hospital for observation, it’s probably not wise to send them out on [non-essential care] trips,” Dr. Timothy Brewer, an epidemiologist at the UCLA School of Public Health and former adviser to the WHO, NIH, and CDC, told The Daily Beast. “The primary focus for any patient who’s sick enough to be in the hospital from COVID-19 should be recovering.”
As for the possibility of the president transmitting the virus to the agents in his vehicle, Brewer said, “Being inside a vehicle means you’re going to be close together even if you have all the windows open. You’re essentially in an indoor environment even if you have an air conditioning or ventilation.”

Via Twitter, Dr. James P. Phillips, an attending physician at Walter Reed, was more explicit in his condemnation of Trump’s actions. “That presidential SUV is not only bulletproof, but hermetically sealed against chemical attack,” Phillips wrote. “The risk of COVID-19 transmission inside is as high as it gets outside of medical procedures. The irresponsibility is astounding.”

Phillips wrote in an earlier tweet that the agents in the car would now need to be quarantined for 14 days after having been put at risk of severe illness or death “for political theater.”

The joyride was the latest sign of how the White House has been trying to manage the optics of the president’s illness.

Trump’s physician, Dr. Sean Conley, admitted on Sunday that he hid from the public how high the president’s fever got and the fact that he needed supplemental oxygen before being hospitalized because he wanted to present an “upbeat attitude.”

After initially insisting that Friday’s trip to Walter Reed was purely precautionary, Conley disclosed on Sunday that it was, in fact, the combination of a spiking fever and the oxygen crisis that triggered the move.

I have my own conspiracy theory. Think one of Trump's advisors didn't go to him and say, "boss let's put out that you've contracted Covid, have you spend a few days in the hospital and then announce your complete recovery and say to the gullible out there that you were too strong even for Covid and since you're that tough you should be re-elected for the sake of the country".

Trump often declared the virus to be a hoax, but the only hoax is the one he's now perpetrating, aided and abetted by his select group of attending physicians who will not disclose any specifics relative to his real condition. :hmm:
