I kept seeing 'Christian this' and 'Jesus that' so I dropped the video.

What I took from the video, besides that adultry can do harm to a marriage and family, was not to be so quick to judge one concerning the matter cause one does not know what someone is going through in a marriage.

So when cats like Michael Jai White starts slamming men- who struggle with the same thing he struggled with (allegely)- I'm looking at dude like 'You of all people naming names and speaking frivolous on this subject? You better fall back and enjoy getting love right the SECOND time! Shouldn't you be focusing on black dynamite season 3?'.

I've frankly that think it is not anyone's business on how an individual conducts their relationship. We should be able to agree and disagree on moral differences when it comes to that, but at the end of the day, it's no ones business. Mike Jai is just giving his opinion on something he feels strongly about. I sense contradiction in his words, but that is 95% of Americans. Perspective changes over time. And that's ok.

I'm a faithful kat to my wife, but I will never judge those that choose not to conform to the norms of society. Not by business.

That wasn't my statement. The thing is the use of those sentiments. It's not ok to break your vows. And it's something black men do without conscious. Like some have said in this thread. Trying to say you don't know? You do know. This is mostly christian country. Especially with Dr. Martin Luther King involved it stands to reason he married under christian vows.

Same with Cosby who married Camille in a church. So no. You're not going to get away with "we don't know", In 1964 with me. Nah. You can say what you want. Try to assuage your heroes all you like. Not with me. Never. You can't keep your vows you're shit. Just that.

Men in general seperate sex from loyalty - no mater culture creed or race - BGOL is a locker room so of course the answers are more "honest" than you maybe exposed to elsewhere.

I have no problem with Bill Cosby having extra marital affairs if that is the agreed upon behavior between him and his wife.

My problem with him is his engagement in respectability politics. I will leave the rape accusations for another subject.
 
As a black man closer to 50 than 40, I've never heard such a stereotype that declares black man less likely to keep their vows.

My black wife nor black mama or black mother in law never said such a thing.

I guess I need to hang around with more white people to be better informed about the issues of black people.

Black told me that all white men trade in their first wife for a younger, sexier second one.

That's complete bullshit. Marriage has traditionally been about power. Family has very little to do with it, and until recently, if you were a man of means in most religions you could have several wives and many concubines. Read the bible, all those Jewish kings had mad wives and kept women. Popes used to have their women. The only reason Catholic priests were forbidden to marry had to do with money. A priest died while in the service of the church. He was fairly young, and since women weren't allowed to work, the Church decided they did not want to pay for his family. So, they came up with the idea that the clergy could not marry. That still never stopped them from engaging in sex.
We are not monogamous by any means. We are attracted to other people. Monogamous animals behave entirely differently than we do.
This guy talks about the institution of marriage, but it isn't what is laid out in his beliefs. These folks just make shit up as they go along.

i sure won't say this is a mostly christian country not with it's history....maybe the majority of those who attend church attend christian churches but that don't make them christian.

This is about can you be trusted with anything. You can't keep a commitment to the things you swore to. You're not the type of person i want in my biz.

No it's not. I've seen quite a bit. I've dealt with quite a bit. I have enough experience to have a good view. If i get other info. I may change my mind. But it's going to take some hard core presence. Just about all of you think it's ok to cheat. That's good enough for me.
 
I aint mad at him. You take a vow. You should uphold it. BUT....you don't know what type of arrangement is in each marriage. Some spouses don't mind and some do. Depends on the situation.

At my job the most cheating ass dudes are white dudes. its not rare at all for these dudes to just up and leave their wife for a younger,more attractive woman with big titties.Black men are far more family oriented when you factor in the social economics. Plenty of celebrity white dudes and women cheat on each other but it doesn't really make the news like that.
