Michael Jai White Clarifies Saying He Could Beat Bruce Lee: Bruce Only Weighed 130 (Part 17)

I would lol to see the 230 lb guy talking about why could be Floyd Mayweather little ass ....as they are picking themselves off the ground.

Also, Bruce was very clear in the Art of Jeet Kune do that he could never beat Muhammad Ali because of his little Asian hands as he said but Ali was one of the greatest boxers ever, Bruce was a fighter and maybe he would lose to Michael Jai Weight or maybe not but we will never know so what does it matter.

Weight means nothing in martial arts, some of those holds will fuck anybody up

Weight is everything when dealing with men of like skills. .

If course a judo expert has a ninety percent chance of kicking a body builders ass..

But another judo expert that outweighs him by a hundred pounds..of like skills

He gonna have big problems bruh..

It makes a big difference in martial arts bruh...

Bruh I been a master since I was a teen bruh..

A self proclaimed master of the arts

But a master nonetheless

In the book The Making of Enter the Dragon, director Robert Clouse recalled a pretty amazing anecdote during the filming of the cult classic in the early 1970s, that explained how Lee thought a match against Ali would end… his life:

Another time Yeung, aka (Bolo) went to see Bruce at Golden Harvest Studios. Bruce was screening a Cassius Clay (Muhammad Ali) documentary. Ali was world heavyweight champion at the time and Bruce saw him as the greatest fighter of them all. The documentary showed Ali in several of his fights. Bruce set up a wide full-length mirror to reflect Ali’s image from the screen.

Bruce was looking into the mirror, moving along with Ali.

Bruce’s right hand followed Ali’s right hand, Ali’s left foot followed Bruce’s left foot. Bruce was fighting in Ali’s shoes. “Everybody says I must fight Ali some day.” Bruce said, “I’m studying every move he makes. I’m getting to know how he thinks and moves.” Bruce knew he could never win a fight against Ali “Look at my hand,” he said. “That’s a little Chinese hand. He’d kill me.”

MUCH respect to him but the LEGEND and MYTH of Bruce lee is much greater than the reality..

You told him bruh I believe you bruh they don't understand bruh.

Donnie Yen said when they were filming the flic he did with Tyson he was a lil nervous because Tyson is real fighter and didn't know how well he would be a fake choreographed movie fighter. He said if they miscaculated by a fraction of a second Tyson could take his head off if one of those punches landed.

They have weight classes among fighters for a reason. Facts.

Martial arts is not the same as boxing. If they were both using the same fighting styles and were at the same level in those styles then I would agree that size would be a difficult obstacle to overcome. However would they be at the same skill level in their preferred styles in a fight to the death?

smh at Vlad saying he could take Bruce, dont give a fuck if Vlad is 6'2 220 lbs, MJW I can believe would beat bruce but not Vlad

What if the 230 pound guy was a wrestler or high-level BJJ? It would be a long fucking day for Mayweather.

Hell yeah it is. I know we here of stories of 150 pound guys tapping up newbies in class, but those are the highly-technical experts and doesn't take long for someone who has 80 pounds on them and the strength to back it up to become formidable. You can't make any fucking mistakes when you giving up so much size and strength. Mike is huge compared to Lee -- and Mike knows his shit too.

Bruce wouldn't have the advantage that Royce Gracie had over everyone. That cat changed the fight game with that ground work folks didn't even know how to defend against.

If boxing were just two weight classes, above 190 and below. We'd have never had Mayweather. Think about that. Probably the best pound-for-pound fighter wouldn't even sniff the under 190 pound title.

Exactly ... Bruce was that dude..

But unless he was hitting Mike in area's that could bring a big man down..

Like knees groin neck..

And Mike's mma intelligence is high as fuck...

He knows how to fight to protect those areas..

Anyone that thinks Bruce Lee can beat a martial artist weighing damn near double his weight

With above par skills..

Is just being a dedicated

Bruce Lee fanboy...

A professionally trained 230lb fighter would crush Floyd. Just way to much size for Floyd to deal with for 12 rounds.

That would be like having a defensive back take on a 230lb full back all game long. The defensive back could hold his on for a few tackles but as the game continued, the fullback would wear him down

Anyone who has even thought about fighting knows height and weight are determining factors on who wins a fight 9/10

If the fighters are skilled and know how to use their height and weight to their advantage, yes. But even still one can overcome the other Wilder vs Fury.

If you just big and tall and just know how to fight a lil, not so much. That can be overcome.

I would like to sticky this post because this addresses my problem with every movie with a skinny, female protagonist. I’m not gonna derail the thread but I can attest to this. I have also practiced both striking and grappling martial arts for a while and totally understand and respect “fight physics.” I ain’t about random scrapping but I will flip a random person on the 2 train on their head. But someone from my Dojo - even if they’re a lower “belt” - will put up a valiant fight and won’t be manhandled. MHW is a BIG dude, who is well versed in a few many styles. I think he would be able to take Bruce. Fighting - thanks to Bruce - has evolved and MJW is the evolution.

I guess I should have been clear - I am talking an average 230 lb guy not a skilled fighter -

Most big guys walk through life thinking size alone will get through a fight with a smaller guy but if the smaller guy is skilled it will be a different day for the average big guy - now if the bigger guy is also skilled than it will be a tough day for the smaller fighter

Remember the boy who identifies as female who joined the wrestling team?

Well who would of thought it but he won the wrestling title. I guess all the training the female wrestlers had didn't mean shit against a guy.
