Even from the grave, Michael Jackson is performing to sellout crowds.

Need evidence? Behold the rabid online ticket presales for "Michael Jackson's This Is It," the buzzy documentary showing footage of Jackson's final days rehearsing for his 50-date London concert series.

Nikki Finke reports that the film -- which premieres tonight in 15 cities around the world -- has moonwalked over the competition by snagging 61% of sales on Fandango.

Sony Pictures shelled out $60 million for the movie rights from concert promoter AEG, which was to present Jackson's elaborate stage show at London's O2 arena. Well, Sony earned its money back and -- assuming box office and DVD sales go as expected -- stands to get richer along with AEG and Jackson's family.

Jackson could also dethrone teen queen Miley Cyrus' "The Best of Both Worlds" -- until now the biggest concert film ever, with a $65 million domestic box office take. Earlier this month, Finke reported that executives at AEG are predicting the Jacko movie could deliver $250 million within the next week.

MJ's estate has earned almost $100 million since his death... and will make a hell of a lot more once this movie drops and the year is done...

he's sold Godly amounts of units worldwide since his death... In all actuality, as a huge fan of MJ myself, I agree that death was the ONLY way for him to be even as close to being relevant as he was b4 (pre-1993). In a way, Im not really that upset that he passed. he wasnt making any "great" new music nowadays or for a while anyway. (IMO)

his sales are even higher than his sales from the 88-89 Bad era when his entire catalog sold over 60 million in 2 years (the most he or any artist has sold over in that amount of time ever).

I don't know where you're getting that. He's sold around 4-5M of his catalogue in the U.S. since his death and maybe 10M worldwide. (He never sold 60M in '88-'89.)

I hope that Mike's estate makes enough so that his mama doesn't end up on the street. Beyond that, I don't give a fuck about him, his trite music or the hype surrounding his death. To me, Michael Jackson is in the same category as Elvis; i.e. a motherfucker who sold a lot of records, but whose music never meant shit to me... and has aged poorly.

Actually, I said he was barely a multi-millionaire. In other words, he's in the low single digits. Dude has often said how little money he's made. He's not exactly a big movie star.

I'm just gonna put the shit into perspective so no one, not even CUNT, has to go and visit the website to see that Chris is more than being "barely a multi-millionaire".

They showing it here for 10 bucks a pop for one midnight show, 600 people, I want to see it, but I can't go to my theatre. I remember how packed it was when kids were trying to see the Biggie movie. I KNOW the theatre gone be on lock when the MJ movie drop at Midnight tonight.
