Re: Database error???.....smh AGAIN.....

I'm actually surprised that the board is running so well. DB errors are very common when moved. Sometimes file structures change even you think you've done anything right.

And it's not like this is HNIC's doing. There are DBA's and SA's working on this.

In nearly 10 years of working in IT, I've never seen a DB move, or any kind of move of data from one server to another go smoothly which is why companies employ some sort of redundant system so it appears seamless to the average user, but I digress.

Just give it some time.

I guess none of you guy never had your pc crash.

..............LOL!........they gotta be retarded. seriously.....a bunch of retarded dudes working on this and dont know what the fuck theyre doing.

only thing we would need to wait on is the DNS to propogate.

10 years working IT......and.....

STOP LYING CHICK! you are totally fucken clueless. lOL! you work in IT for real? stop fucken playing.

A DNS record change and its propegation actually doesn't take long at all. You are the one that's clueless.

Anybody notice the new banner-- Black Girl Online, brought to you by White Boy Stomp, "White boys, finally getting their own back."

Where are all you militants on this shit?

the bgol black panther party is actually a strange crew.

i can't exactly speak for them because i'm AGAINST whore segregation on a free porn board.

but they don't want white women posted on bgol... that's it.

a black woman getting fucked by 2 white boys = ok to them.
an asian woman with an infected pussy posted = ok to them.
mexican lust posted = OK to ALL of us. that old bitch is fine.
musty, racist "dot" indians getting fucked by white boys = ok to them.

just NO white gals on BGOL...

the ONLY white gals that get a pass are gianna, sara jay (online), and ice t's plastic snowflake, coco.

and if you post a white gal, they'll be bumping that post all night with their complaints. yes, they are a strange crew...

Actually, I've never had that problem. That's why you test before going live. It's what's ApacheBench, Siege and scripts like the MySQL Performance Tuning Primer Script are for. Adding an opcode cache like APC or Xcache for your PHP scripts wouldn't hurt. ;) And since some people are using the latest version of VBulletin, they should setup a memcache server and move Vbulletin's datastore there. Move avatars to the filesystem instead of leaving them in the database. Why waste those database calls.

Look into using taskset to bind Apache and MySQL to separate cpus. If that doesn't work, use PLPA (Portable Linux Processor Affinity) instead.

Disclaimer: Vbulletin default settings aren't optimized "out of the box".

Nope, that's what we tell you just in case that it does, and it never does. But it generally DNS and MX records changes propegate within the next few hours. If you're dealing with a piddly ISP and even if you are, they are generally piggybacking off of a bigger ISP.

I.E. Go Daddy leases from AT&T. AT&T refreshes their DNS cache periodically through the day because of their large client base.

Now you make that ass clap bitch.

Re: Database error???.....smh AGAIN.....

I've seen DNS propagation almost instantaneous. It all depends on a DNS server's caching mechanism (TTL). There are a lot of poorly configured DNS servers out there though.

Re: Anyone else getting database errors

i think the server was reset around 9:25cst ....and then the rapid influx overloaded the database momentary.....
