Nah Rose is almost good now... Those tendons are no joke though, fuck around they can heal too tight or not strong enough and snap again..

What a way to end what I thought was Kobe's best season ever as a team player. Compared to previous seasons he didn't dribble through double teams and force shots over triple teams and it looked like he genuinely enjoyed creating assists. I don't wish poor health or injury on anybody.

He is having the surgery though. Access to the best surgeons and "ancillaries" to make him heal faster. I didn't even have the surgery for my torn Achilles and was back running and jumping in the given time frame. Kobe is a world class athlete undergoing surgery. Unless there are complications from the surgery(like infection or a clot), he'll be fine.

geriatric patients recover from the surgery in 6 months.
with physical therapy/rehabilitation he'll be walking with a boot post surgery in less than 3 months.

But the average geriatric patients don't play 82 NBA games a year, or take a toll on their body like an athlete like Kobe does. If he starts playing too early, he might fuck it up again.

Fucked up.
Part of coaching is managing fatigue and wear and tear on players. Kobe has been playing too many minutes for too long should have sat him long before something like this happened.

I'm not questioning his drive, I'm questioning whether his body can hold up to being "Kobe Bryant" at age 35 and 36. I don't doubt he thinks he can come back and be the same guy, the question is his body, will it hold up to that kinda demand? If he comes back he might have to deal with what Elgin Baylor dealt with, and have to learn to become a "role" guy or a "sidekick" and I question whether he got the stomach for all that. Elgin didnt, so he retired.

I was at the game last night. You could see it in his eyes when he limped off the court this was some real shit. I hope he comes back but in all honesty that may have been the last of Kobe as we know him

Jordan had a somewhat "career changing" injury that he over came as well. Therefore Im sure Kobe will be working hard to shut up the doubters. Wish him luck...but I stil hope that he fails.
